The room is right next to the shared bathroom, and off the main livingroom of the house. The guest will use the front door to come in and go around the corner to the bedroom. there is a mini fridge in the room for guest use.
The livingroom is open and just outside of the bedroom. There is a laundry room on the back side of the house with a Washer and Dryer for Guest use.
We are within walking distance to the local college, and down town area of our small town. The court house square (center of town) is about 4 blocks away.

  • I got in fairly late, but they were incredibly kind and accommodating about it. Very cozy room with everything you might need. I only stayed for a night so I didn't interact much with the family.

Located just 4 miles from Cumberland Falls, hiking trails, horseback riding trails, bike trails, 12 miles from town and l.5 hrs. to Lexington or Knoxville airports You’ll love my place that is quiet, REMOTE, out in nature with a private bedroom downstairs and King sized bed. Full bath upstairs, and half bath downstairs. My place is your home away from home with self-check-in. Review Directions under "Location". If you are looking for a larger suite, check out my listing for the Johnson Suite.
I just finished remodeling and everything is like brand new. I need my guests to take good care and leave shoes upon before entering. Thank you.
The neighbors on either side of my place are family. This is a short road with only four homes and the first one is a horse ranch. I am the third place. DO NOT go by GPS when it says "you are here" at the horse ranch. Go by the mailbox numbers to 472 Bill Neal.
  • Very clean. Enjoyed my stay.

  • Sharon is such an incredible host, very warm and welcoming person. The place is beautiful and quaint. Our stay was just lovely, her hospitality was above and beyond. What I loved most of all was Sharon itself, she is such a sweetheart, always ready to talk, share her wisdom and made sure we are comfortable. She made it feel like visiting grandma’s home rather than staying in AirBnb. The only thing is I would suggest arriving while it is still daylight as the GPS/Cell service can be tricky, but once you learn the area it’s not too bad. Don’t let the last few turns get you (Just follow Sharons directions you ll be fine, you ). If you’re interested being out in nature and relaxing in the woods, I would definitely recommend this. You can’t go wrong at her hide away nest. 😊😊

    Ńãndinî2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a great location. Sharon is very clear with what she expects from her guess. She has a very nice breakfast area upstairs for guests.

    Randall2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was clean and comfortable, and the location was close to where I wanted to be. My stay was made even better by the host who was very gracious and kind. I feel like I got an excellent value for what I paid and would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area.

    Tony2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon was awesome and made me feel right at home. Anyone who wants a place away from the world, Sharon will help you out!

    Aaron2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a beautiful house, with a great hostess. You can't go wrong at her hide-a way nest.

    Rick2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot express in words how wonderful my 4 days of stay at Sharon’s place was. She welcomes you to her beautiful house in the middle of the mountains, with a warm smile. She was very kind to me and made me feel very comfortable. Don’t let the initial houses on the way get you. You’ll totally change your perspective once you meet her, see her house and experience the hospitality. If ever I am to visit KY again, I’ll stay at her place without having a second though. :)

    Sadhana2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • She is a very sweet and generous host. The place is awesome, very quiet, in fact in the middle of nowhere. 10-15 minutes drive to Cumberland falls.

    Autumn2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl is a fantastic host!! Her response times are like none I have ever experienced on Airbnb! She provided thoughtful items throughout the Airbnb that made our stay feel as though we were right at home but yet away and pampered. The hot tub was amazing and we loved learning about the variety of chickens they have. Stop searching for a relaxing place to stay and book her place now! You won't regret it!!!

    Crystal2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. We enjoyed our evening hot tub time. We loved eating fresh chicken eggs every morning. Comfortable bed and soft towels. Highly would recommend staying here.

    Denise2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay for many reasons. This place has a homey and sweet feel. Cheryl is clearly very thougtful. She left snacks and chocolates. There's games, a hot tub, an electronic fire, and a diffuser. We hope to come back.

    Liam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabana was so stylish and the perfect size. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. It is in the perfect place to look at the moon and stars while kicking back and relaxing after a long drive.

    Trish2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl literally thought of everything which made it such a relaxing experience! The bed was amazing, and the fresh eggs were the best surprise! We did not have time to use the hot tub, but we definitely be back soon!

    Emily2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind! The furnishings were perfectly cottage-y, comfy and cozy! The electric fireplace and the essential oils were a bonus we were not expecting. The area was surrounded by beautiful aspects of nature, including waterfalls, mountains, rivers and water/ice inside the rock formations. We enjoyed driving and walking to explore everything around us. Great time- we would stay there again in a heartbeat! C and K

  • Nice quiet location. Was perfect for what I needed, and the little kitchen area provided me with the morning coffee as well as some delicious muffins provided by Sharon.

    Zelda2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon's place is peaceful and clean. A great location if you are visiting Cumberland Falls and so much cheaper than the lodge.

    Chialing2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Sharon’s place for catching some moonbows in the nearby Cumberland Falls State Park. The place was thanks to Sharon’s instructions easy to find, spotless clean and we loved the delicious goodies from her granddaughters store she left for us in our kitchenette. The state park was easily reachable and it was even a good location to reach Mammoth Cave National Park.

    Katharina2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed Sharon 's hospitality, the extra's she had for breakfast, and the time in her home.

    Linda2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had the upstairs bedrooms and it was perfect. The minifridge with snacks was a special touch. She also had popcorn for us to share our first night. I really enjoyed the quiet. And appreciated how spacious it was. We would definitely stay here again on a next trip.

    Laura2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon is very friendly house in the mountains, so there is no signal, there is wifi, the room is very clean, the second floor has a small living room, you can use the microwave and the refrigerator, the bathroom is shared with other guests, the price is very affordable.

    Ariel2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon, thank you for being a wonderful host. It was a pleasure to be at your home. It was nice, clean and very comfortable. Hope i get to visit them often :). Cumberland Falls is also very close and it makes this home in the woods so convenient and calming. Thank you for all the hospitality.

    Arnab2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice quiet place in the woods which suited our needs well. An upstairs bedroom and separate sitting room area with a microwave, small fridge, coffee, tea, snacks, and breakfast foods made it a nice place to hang out in the morning, as we were slow to get going. There were mugs, paper plates, bowls and eating utensils to use as well. Cumberland Falls is nearby, as well as other natural arches. Lots of hiking in Big South Fork State Park area as well. There are great roads in the whole south central area for motorcycle riding, which is what we went to do. :) So Sharon's place was a great base for our circle tours.

This home sits on 5 acres in the Daniel Boone National Forest and is only a 25 min. drive to Cumberland Falls & less than 15 mins to Laurel Lake. The home boasts 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 wood-burning fireplaces, a large entertaining deck, and the "talk of the town" treehouse! It even has a basketball court & basement game room. Come relax and reconnect with family and nature!
The home has more than 3,000 sq ft to roam around in, two balcony porches, a basketball court, a huge entertaining deck with "bridge" to the unique hand-built treehouse. I have loved sitting out on the balcony porch looking over the property and the landscaping. We have enjoyed family time on the deck and watching the goldfish in the fish pond.
The home is just 15 miles from the "Niagara of the South", the Cumberland Falls. It is only 45-50 minutes from the artisan town of Berea, which hosts the Daniel Boone Tavern, the favorite locals eating place Papaleno's Italian Restaurant, and of course the Berea Artisan Center. This whole area is a photographer's paradise! Laurel River Lake is a few minutes away, Lake Cumberland is just 40 minutes, and there are plenty of trails to hike in and around the Cumberland Falls State Park. Bring the boat and have a blast! Sheltowee Trace Outfitters is a place you want to check out if you want to raft, canoe, or kayak the Cumberland River, or try their Zip Line! We are also in close proximity to the popular Red River Gorge area and the Natural Bridge, both of which are a wonder to see and experience and we are an easy drive to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Here is a link to a brief YouTube video of 10 Places to See in Kentucky (please note that Cumberland Falls is #1): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afp_WEY0zac&feature=youtu.be

  • The most fabulous retreat you can find. The house and acreage is amazing. Love the patio and fire pit. Kids loved the treehouse. The neighbor's dog is the sweetest little thing. It was a short drive to the Cumberland Falls and are amazing. Miss Norma is the most incredible host, close by but not seen unless you needed her. Cannot wait to come back!

  • The home is beautiful and the area is so beautiful and peaceful! Great community, the houses are far apart from each other. The backyard is huge and the deck and playhouse are awesome!! • I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for something close to Cumberland falls! The house was amazing, the location was amazing and Brittany was very with responding back ASAP

    Heidi2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house is darling, so clean, and comfortable! It feels very private and peaceful, even though you aren’t far from the main road (which I liked since I was traveling alone), and I enjoyed that you are surrounded by the view of woods on all sides! The feeling of camping without roughing it! :) Comfy bed, spacious bathroom, all basic kitchen items already there. So much natural light with all the windows. I used my stay for a quiet getaway to pray, read, and paint, and it was the perfect spot for that. Only a short 15 min drive to Cumberland Falls, with many trails and views to enjoy. About a 20 min drive from the grocery/restaurants. I will be back, so very lovely!

  • This was my first time renting an AirBNB and it was a great experience. The space was more than what we expected and perfect for a weekend getaway, and had everything we needed to be able to relax and still cook all of our meals in the kitchen. It was also a fairly short drive to see Cumberland Falls and to be able to go to Kroger if we needed!

Located near Cumberland Falls, this is a great place to get away from it all. Heavily wooded with lots of great hiking. Closest town is about 20 minutes away, in Corbin, KY. Corbin has several great locally-owned restaurants in the downtown area, as well as standard fare near the interstate.
  • This was a great getaway!! Would definitely come back

    Logan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in our little cabin. It’s small, but it’s cozy. There is a gravel spot in front of each cabin so you don’t have to walk from the main parking area. Bathrooms were very clean. We will definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you for keeping everything so clean. The free firewood bundle was a nice touch we didn’t know we wanted/needed.

  • Great location exactly what we were looking for.

    Anthony2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up not actually being able to stay at Dania’s cabin, but the communication between us was efficient and commendable! We would definitely try to stay here if we are out this way again.

    Nick2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cute little cabin was perfect for us as Cumberland Falls campground was closed. Just enough space for me and my boyfriend to stay a night and keep our foods refrigerated. The heater kept the cabin warm and we slept so soundly! Dania was so kind to check in with me days before the trip and during to make sure we were comfortable.

    Lilli2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Cozy Cabin was far better than we expected it to be. We had a late check-in, but it was easy to find and get into. The staff answered all the questions we had before arrival which made the entire process as smooth as could be. Restrooms were very clean, with only a short walk to them as well. Our only complaint with the entire stay was that the mattresses could have been a little nicer. We will also be bringing our own pillows and blankets next time around. Over all great stay, at a great location!

  • Perfect getaway cabin for the evening! Great communication for months leading up to the reservation and the place was great. Being in the woods, we had a bit of a ladybug “issue”, but within minutes our host was there cleaning them up and oht! Very impressed! Great location, great stay! Will def look to rent again next year when in town for the holiday!

  • We really enjoyed our stay! Clean and convenient to Corbin (where we were attending an event at the Arena). We comfortably slept 8 people. Great layout and good, prompt communication from the host. Not too rustic though not fancy either. A few Corbin restaurants we enjoyed during our stay were Seasons, Austin City and You And Me coffee shop. We also enjoyed Alley Stuff antique/gift shop. Would definitely stay here again!

    Heidi2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin that’s in the woods, but still just a short distance from all the amenities of Williamsburg and Corbin. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable, and the open living space provided lots of room to spend time with family. Would definitely come back!

  • This cabin is spacious, clean, and conveniently located near trails, lakes, rivers, and offers plenty of outdoor excursion opportunities. The host is kind and responsive, and check-in/out is simple and intuitive. This cabin is located on Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort campground (not a secluded spot). It is a great option for a quiet getaway or a more action-packed adventure.

  • My wife and I had a great stay at Brian and Michelle's cabin. We were in love with the view and the peace and quiet. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area - especially hiking at Split Bow Arch, seeing Cumberland Falls and catching some live music at Jarfly Brewing Company in Somerset. Hope to get back to the cabin sometime!

    Josh2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin had everything we wanted for a cozy winter getaway. With a fire in the fireplace, we sat and looked out big windows at an amazing overlook view. I set my alarm every morning so as not to miss the sunrise. We had everything we needed to cook meals and relax and enjoy the privacy and quiet. Only 30 minutes to Cumberland Falls or Somerset, we found plenty to see and do, then looked forward to coming back to our cozy little home away from home.

Stay in the first farmhouse built in Pineville, Kentucky in 1882. This historic Estate is full of charm and character but has been totally updated with modern conveniences. The Estate is located .2 miles from U.S. Highway 25 E and is only about 13 miles from LMU in Harrogate, TN and 30 miles from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY. Nestled in the foothills of Pine Mountain State Park, yet convenient for the modern traveler.
    Extremely private but yet convenient!

  • Exceptional response time, easy check-in and large open and comfortable space. Loved the shower, the extra's and the coffee! The microwave and mini fridge came to be very useful. The decor was so nice.

  • A really nice spot in Pineville! Lisa was nice enough to leave a welcome drink in the apartment and was very easy to communication with. The place was very clean and we even walked the 15-minutes or so to the main part of town to grab some dinner. The place is also basically its own private apartment.

Located within 4.5 miles of Walmart, lots of restaurants, maybe 15 miles to Lake Cumberland and Laurel lake. Close to Cumberland Falls National Park, Levi Jackson state park and within 80 miles Lexington, Bluegrass Horse Parks. All this plus if you’re lucky to get a slow rain on the tin roof, you’ll relax more than ever!
You’ll have the whole tiny house to yourself. Late check ins can be arranged. Enjoy rocking chairs on your own little porch sipping hot chocolate and listening to nature.
It’s a family farm and the tiny house is at the end of the driveway. You can enjoy all the animal life on the farm. Interstate 75 is in view but the exit #38 is 5 miles away.
  • Diann's place was fantastic and Diann was extraordinarily kind! She was quick to respond to any messages and provided all the kitchen utensils/equipment required to cook/bake there. Moreover, Diann lives on the property so if you need anything at all, she can help you out. The house was very cute and offered plenty of space. The house also has plenty of windows so natural light gets into every room. I cannot wait to return to Diann's as it is truly a gem for anyone traveling through Kentucky looking for their own little slice of heaven in their travels.

Enjoy the peaceful country neighborhood with dark skies, and summertime fireflies. The cabin is on the second floor of a detached building on our property. With one complete bedroom, fully kitted kitchen, full bath, and even a loft, this space has a lot of room to spread out. Relax after a day of exploring on the huge covered back deck. Big South Fork Nat'l Park is 10 minutes away! The conveniences of Oneida are 2 miles away. Knoxville is 1 hr. Local craft beer and lots of adventure await!
The space is a completely private and detached area, but on shared property. You have a dedicated, covered parking space. There is a complete flight of stairs to climb. Brand new LUCID brand mattresses. The entire space was renovated June 2019 with new flooring in the bathroom, new appliances, new furniture, and all new kitchenware!
The neighborhood is quaint and very quiet. South Fork Tack shop is walking distance and offers cold beer, tack, hiking supplies, and much more. Oneida (Wal Mart, restaurants, gas, etc) is about 2 miles away.
  • Can’t say enough about Big South Fork or the cabin. Awesome place!!! Scott and Kristin are wonderful people and wonderful hosts with an absolutely beautiful guesthouse cabin!! With so much to do in the area they live in, we were hardly at the cabin during our weekend stay, but the cabin is a great place to just hangout and relax. It’s spacious and they have it spotless clean! Bed’s great. Showers great. We didn’t watch TV but they have it set up that if you want to, you can watch anything. The cabin is full of really cool decor and touches that make it comfortable, and even has a porch to relax on if you’re there with the time! As I said before, we weren’t there much because the area they’re in has so much to do. If you love hiking the outdoors and admiring Earth’s natural beauty, Big South Fork is for you. If you really want to explore all there is in BSF, a weekend is not long enough, haha. We went to the O&W Railroad bridge, Twin Arches (gotta do the Twin Arches Loop!), and Yahoo Falls/Arch. We also went to Lillypad Hopyard Brewery which is THE coolest brewery you’ll ever go to. These were all suggestions from Scott and Kristin, and they were amazing! RaeZack’s is a great place to eat, and Lillypad (which is in Lancing, TN) also has “The Sauced Frog” that has GREAT BBQ! But as they have in their house manual, Oneida doesn’t have a ton of food options, so if you’re there for more than a few days, I’d recommend bringing some groceries because there is a kitchen, we just weren’t there long enough to use it. Scott and Kristin are both so friendly and accommodating. They were unbelievably kind for the short time I saw them upon arrival, and always responded quickly before and during our stay! Scott initially offered for us to hangout by the fire pit that’s in between their home and the cabin on our second night there, but my girlfriend and I didn’t make it back until around 11 PM. I genuinely hope I make it back there some day to continue exploring all there is (and to hangout with Scott and Kristin). I would 12/10 recommend staying here if you’re wanting to stay at a really cool place and wanting to check out BSF or anywhere around the TN/KY line!!

    Graham2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome host! Great value and spotless!!! Any hikers visiting be sure and hit Slave falls and if you go to Rugby check out the Gentlemans swimming loop trail. All are in the Big South Fork. Scott's place is the perfect hub for outdoor adventure in the area.

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay, area was beautiful. Great hiking nearby and close to Big South Fork. Oneida had much more to offer than expected. Cabin is very clean and hosts were very friendly & courteous :)

  • We visited in late January for a mountain biking getaway. Two of us, and we found this to be spacious. Many nice amenities: comfortable bed and comfortable pillows; appreciated the shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash in dispensers in the shower; plenty of bowls, plates, pots and pans, and cooking utensils; TV set up for Roku for streaming using our own accounts with auto logout at the end of our stay; books available and local printed guides. Very conveniently located by the Bandy Creek trailhead for accessing the mountain bike IMBA Epic route. Not expected, not after a long day on the trails on Saturday, they invited us to join them for a bonfire. Scott and Kristin really are lovely hosts and it was a pleasure to meet them and stay here for our trip.

    Geralyn2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay! Weather wasn’t great so having a cozy spot to warm up and enjoy was very nice. Scott made great suggestions to help accommodate the weather and make the best of it! Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

Our 3200 square foot log home is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains overlooking a meandering creek, lush green pasture, and hardwood forest. The three bedrooms and bath in the loft are available to a single, couple, or a family. We have many requests from people with ATVs. Unfortunately, we have limited parking and can not accommodate trailers.
Though my wife and I will be available, guests will have all the privacy they would like. There are three bedrooms in the loft, with a full bath which serves the three rooms. The great room provides a comfortable place for individuals or the entire family to enjoy a movie or a cozy chat.
Our neighbors are lovely people and will most likely be around. We ask that you respect their privacy and stay within the boundaries of the Ambleside cabin.
  • Steven and Claudia were amazing hosts on our beautiful weekend away with friends. It was the perfect weekend escape that we all needed. Their hospitality and overall beauty of the house really won us over. It had personal touches and plenty of space! We will definitely be back!

    Daniel2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Another lovely stay at Ambleside! This time I particularly enjoyed watching the fog and mist and even a little snow up on the mountain. Loved experiencing the outdoors through the beautiful windows while I stayed cozy and dry inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

  • This house and setting were beautiful! If you are looking for a place that is quiet and peaceful , then this is exactly what you are looking for! Stephen was very nice and helpful with some questions we had and he really wanted to make sure we were happy and comfortable. My husband and I travel this area at least once a year and we WILL be back!

    Tina2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful and comfortable home was perfect for our group. Our group consisted of two families (2 adults and 2 kids in each). The set-up of the house allowed one family to sleep upstairs and the other to sleep in the lower level with room to spare. The main floor's large and open living spaces meant everyone could spend time together. The grounds are just as beautiful as the home. There are a trails to explore, a creek, lots of space for kids to run and play. Also, the hosts Stephen and Claudia were so nice and accommodating. We are looking forward to our next stay. Now, to figure out when we can get away...

    Jessica2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen and Claudia are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to assist you and make sure you are comfortable. The location is away from everything and very peaceful.

    Joy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! Super clean, super affordable, a great home that is fully stocked with all that you need. The cabin is in a nice secluded area and the perfect place to relax and unwind. We traveled with 12 people total, including 6 kids age 5 and under, and it worked out great. The cabin has a lot of toys and books for the kids, and our kids loved them. They also loved playing with the dogs that roam the lot, hiking on the trail, and exploring the creek. Also, Steve and Claudia's hospitality was fantastic. They are very communicative, helpful, and attentive to their guest's needs. Their home is and the surrounding area is beautiful. If you are looking for a low key place to relax and unwind, I would highly recommend Ambleside!

  • Was a great place to get away for the weekend. Was very helpful on Saturday morning when we were trying to unload the bike. Helped find a place to unload and was standing by if we needed help. Even offered to help load if we needed when we were done. Talking about coming back with some friends to ride the area again. Will definitely be looking into staying with them again.

  • We were bummed that there was a no burn ban for the county and we couldn’t have a campfire. Great experience overall. This was our first experience with Air BNB and it was great just having to show up with everything there already

Located in a peaceful country setting with a beautiful view from the front porch. It is conveniently located near Lincoln Memorial University, Norris Lake, and Historic Cumberland Gap. We live next door to the guest house and will be there to greet you upon arrival to answer any questions you may have.
Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea while sitting on the porch. The countryside mountain views are beautiful year round.
Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The guest house is nestled in evergreen trees . No matter what time of the year there are always beautiful plants to enjoy. All the trees around the home make for a very cozy and private atmosphere while sitting on the porch.
  • This space was immaculately clean and welcoming. Amy was great about communicating. The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the area and made for easy access to the National Park. I highly recommend this cottage for a visit to the area.

  • We arrived after dark for our stay and were not only given clear instructions, but plenty of automatic lighting to make unpacking a breeze. We were tickled the moment we opened the door due to the personal and welcoming atmosphere. Amy put so many extra touches into ensuring a very welcoming and comfortable visit. The place was absolutely spotless and had every amenity you could possibly need. One of the most enjoyable home away from home experiences! If you’re in the area, this is the place to stay!

  • Super clean. Very convenient to LMU and the parks. Would be a great location for a couples getaway. Full refrigerator and kitchen setup. Full size Keurig so you can bring your favorite K cups or use the ones on hand. Has nice porch which I'm sure would be great for the warmer weather. Highly recommend.

  • If you’re thinking about staying here, DO IT. There is so much amazing praise I could give Amy’s place. The decor is great, it was spotless, she even baked yummy treats for us. The location is beautiful. It has a steep driveway so just be prepared for that (my boyfriend’s 2007 VW Jetta made it, so yours probably can too)! The place is surrounded by mountains and located next door to Amy. There are strategic trees in between her house and the next door neighbor, so the place is perfectly private. Amy even got my boyfriend and I a welcome gift, and wished him luck on his LMU med school interview multiple times. She and her husband, James, are so thoughtful and I cannot say one bad thing about this place! I want to come back just to stay here again.

  • Very clean, very cute. Carey and Sue are awesome hosts.

  • This little cabin is the perfect place to call home for a few days or even an extended trip. Carey and Sue made sure the cabin was stocked with the usual items (condiments, linens, toiletries, etc.), and it was so cozy and adorable! We could tell they really take care of their properties and want guests to feel at home. My boyfriend and I celebrated New Years deep in the woods after exploring the Daniel Boone National Forest, checking out Gatlinburg (only 2 hours south), and hiking through the handful of waterfalls near the cabin. It was definitely a trip for the books, and the cabin is the perfect nature lover’s retreat!

  • Such a peaceful place to get away! My wife and I went for a quiet weekend and it was perfect. The cabin was spotless and had all a couple could need to relax. Lots of books on the shelf to choose from for some R&R in the hammock, beautiful fire place for a drink and s’mores in the evenings, a stack of boardgames for some good laughs and competition when you’re inside, and an extremely comfortable bed. And of course there is the beautiful piece of land the cabin sets on that you have permission to get out and explore during your stay! We loved it!

  • A nice, quiet retreat where we could unplug from every day life. We enjoyed the area and had a lot of fun in Somerset and going to Cumberland Falls

    Ashley2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really wonderful time here. Buck Creek is just superb. We spent hours swimming, jumping, diving. Access to the water is literally about a one minute walk to the top but it’s a long way down the stairs to the dock. There is not a view of the water from the cabin. No cell service there. The sofa bed is really more suitable for one person. Our 13 year old son slept on the recliner. One bedroom has no door and the other no blinds so privacy is limited. I really appreciated there being plenty of towels, dish cloths, etc. There was lots of cookware and also paperware. There were only 4 actual plates though and I didn’t find a cutting board. The key is in a code box inside the screened porch, not the realtors box outside. Again, save all your details because of no cell service. We also drove to and hiked and swam at Eagle Falls Trail and Dog Slaughter Falls. Thank-you, Betty, for sharing your cabin!

  • Debra offers a sweet small home for travelers to be comfortable in while on their vacation adventures.

    Scott2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We came from Florida to ride at Ride Royal Blue and the usual airbnb we normally rent was booked. So we found Debra's place and lucked out! Her place had everything we needed and more. I was very skeptical at first because I googled the address and the house that it showed was not the one in the pictures. But then I realized that it had been updated big time! I was relieved once we arrived. Her home was pretty darn close to where we rode, which was very convenient! I would recommend her place for sure! I am sure we will be back!!!!

    Dylan2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place. Away from town a mile or so, really quite and beautiful. Debra was wonderful, to have such a place for others to enjoy. The house was very clean and relaxing. Found myself on the sectional relaxing in the evening and coffee on the front porch in the morning watching sun come up to light the mountains up. For our group it was perfect. Ride atvs at ride royal blue to come back to a tucked away gem. We road to the atv park from the house, made it even better. On arrival into Lafollette we stopped at gas station to top off wherlers a gentleman approached us welcoming us to town. Do the people were great. Will definitely be back.

It’s been “A Hard Days Night”.... This quaint lake front ‘Beatles’ inspired, BOHO styled, private vacation cottage is located in a quiet cove with a private boat dock on Norris Lake in a small town in East TN called LaFollette, about 30 miles north of Knoxville, TN. This unique cottage is within eyesight of Sugar Hollow Marina and just around the bend from Shanghai Resort! We are also located within about 15 minutes by car or boat from Deerfield Resort.
This 800sq ft cottage is a RUSTIC cabin in the woods on a lake. This is not a 5 star hotel, it is rather a 2nd home that we have worked hard on and completed tons of new updates for others to enjoy. As of February 2020 we have brand new white siding with all new windows and an added window downstairs for more lake view and new outdoor lights to give a new modern farmhouse feel. We also have new wooden stairs down to lake for easier access. It is approximately 50 ft of stairway from lakehouse to lake. We are ready for the new season! Our home away from home consists of 1 large loft bedroom upstairs with 2 new memory foam queen beds. The cottage has 2 full baths. It consists of an open floor plan with a fully stocked kitchen and living area. The bedroom has a walk out balcony upstairs overlooking the water in addition to the large deck downstairs with table and chairs, also a grill. Don’t miss out on the hammock below the deck in the shade overlooking the water or build a fire down by the lake. Get your tan on or go fishing on our private dock. Bring your boat and tie it to our dock or rent one from close by. Are you a golfer? Bring your golf clubs and head over to Deerfield Resort and play a round of golf over looking the water. Deerfield is about a 15 minute drive by car or boat. This peaceful cottage is perfect for couples, honeymooners, romantic get away, a girls getaway, a family of 4, boaters, fishermen, a mom retreat, and of course all Beatles fans! This cottage means everything to us. It is in memory of my dad who passed away from cancer suddenly. Our goal is to raise money for the Cancer Research Institute and by you staying with us we are able to contribute to this great charity. A percentage of your stay is donated. We want you to make memories and enjoy this special place and trust that you treat it as if it’s your own. We strive for a 5 star experience. If for any reason during your stay you feel that you could not give 5 stars please let us know and we would be happy to make your stay more enjoyable! Lake season is Memorial Day through Labor Day.. water levels start to go down after Labor Day so water levels may be low come October and our lake house may or may not have water in front of it by October... enjoy the fall weather & the color changes of the trees! Water levels start to rise back up in March - April. Instagram: @aharddaysnightairbnb
Within eye sight and about 0.1 mile by car and by water of Sugar Hollow Marina up in a cove that is a no wake zone. Very little boat traffic. Safe for swimming and calm for fishing. Located off a quiet country backroad. It has a small town rural feel. Quiet and peaceful! Enjoy this entire lake front cottage with direct access to the water and private dock.
  • We enjoyed the relative seclusion and peaceful area. I LOVED the dock/fire ring area. It rained while we were there so no waterside fire for us, but the firewood provided was a great touch. The whole place was super cozy. We will return in warm weather to utilize the lake.

    Julie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for us to spend our honeymoon. Very well kept, the house was so nice, and the host was great. She gave lots of tips for what to do and where to eat in the area.

  • Great place for a weekend getaway! It was cozy and the perfect amount of space for us and another couple. If you don’t mind sharing a bedroom, it was such a cozy cottage and the private dock made renting a boat and just relaxing in the lake so convenient! Thanks, Katie!!

  • The house is super charming, and it has everything you need! The lake is beautiful and peaceful. If you are looking for nature, water and the chance to relax, I would recommend this house.

    Natalie2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Three of my girlfriends and I had a blast on the lake at Katie’s place. The house had several nice touches that made it feel like home and Katie provided lots of information on the community that made us feel like locals! The private dock was very nice and had a ladder into the water that was a nice touch for swimming. I was a little worried about the walk to the water after reading a few reviews but it was not bad at all!! Overall the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with my girls!

Beautiful home in Daniel Boone National Forest, surrounded by woods in gated Lake Cumberland Resort about 12 miles from Somerset, KY and just 1 mile to the boat ramp. Each of the 3 BR have their own full bath and TV (one doesn’t have cable). There are 2 living areas and full kitchen/eat-in. Home has a wrap around deck with a screen in rear porch. Free high speed Wi-Fi. Fire pit with wood. 4 vehicles parking. ATV trails and 3 pools in the Resort. $80 cleaning fee, 1% transient tax, 6% sales tax.
Great family home or adult getaway! Plenty of space in and out with fire pit and wrap around decks with screened in rear porch! 55” TV with sound bar and smart DVD player in the upstairs great room and TVs in every room also! Sleeping for 9: 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen), a pull out sofa and futon. We do allow pets but require a $50 non refundable fee. The property has tons of ATV trails and plenty to do: hiking, tennis courts, swimming, boating... with a ramp just 1 mile away.
Built within the Daniel Boone National Forest you can see why Lake Cumberland Resort is a hidden gem. High in the hills you can see for miles in to the valleys. Lush trees and the glimpse of The South Fork River that feeds Lake Cumberland, this is as serene as it can get.
  • Casey’s place was absolutely beautiful and just like the pictures. We had many wonderful nights around the fire pit, exploring Cumberland Falls, visiting the City of Somerset, and fishing at the marina. There are many local wineries/breweries as well, and we had the opportunity to visit some of those too. We wish we had stayed longer, as there was even more we wanted to do (horseback riding trails, ATV/boat rentals) but didn’t get a chance too. Lazy Hillside had many amenities for coffee and tea lovers, movie watchers, book readers on the deck, the grillers, and the dog walkers. The added touch of the dog bowls and crate were nice, since we brought an ESA with us. We would love to stay here again and we look forward to coming back to Kentucky in the future!

    Kaitlin2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly clean! The layout is great with one BR and BA upstairs off the main living/dining/kitchen area for the grandparents, and two BR and BA downstairs for the rest of the family. The porch is amazing, although it was too cold to enjoy it like we wanted. But if you're there March-November, you will love it. Same with the fire pit area. There are some board games for the kids, and a nice DVD library if you want to watch a movie. It's about 25 minutes to the grocery store in Somerset, so plan accordingly. We will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

  • Casey's place was amazing. The size was perfect for two families. You could enjoy your time in the common areas or have space for yourself. The area was beautiful and serene.

  • Absolutely an amazing home! Great location if you’re looking for something secluded. Be careful on the drive up, and heads up most food places are around 25 mins away. Comfy beds, loved the deck as well! Casey was a great host with very quick response time.

  • Very clean, well stocked, comfortable beds. Living room sofa and love seat in bad shape but we were told about it before we arrived. New furniture had been ordered and would arrive in December 2019. The shape of the furniture did not cause us any problems or prevent using it.

    Carla2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This house is wonderful. My bed was so comfortable. Felt like being at home. House is clean, well kept, in good repair.

  • We wished we would've booked for a longer stay!!! We absolutely loved it and it was so nice to come back to have peace and quiet after long days. We will definitely love to book with Casey again!

Our cabin is located in Lake Cumberland Resort, it’s a gated resort that features access to 3 swimming pools (open Memorial Day to Labor Day) & a tennis court & just about a mile from the boat ramp. Less than 15 minutes from Burnside marina (which is a full-service marina that offers boat rentals) & General Burnside Island State Park/Golf Course. Also 15 miles from Cumberland Falls. Cumberland is a hikers paradise. Drive-in Theater 8 miles away, Somersplash waterpark 30 min away.
Its perfect year round. The lake and 3 pools in the resort for the summer and in the winter enjoy the back screened porch with hot tub and the newly installed fireplace in the living room.
  • I can’t say enough positives about this cabin, and our stay. The cabin is simply adorable, has all the modern conveniences and extras, spacious, and extremely clean and welcoming. The porch and deck are perfect for relaxing, as is the hot tub. Dana didn’t miss a thing!! Can’t wait for our next weekend get away. This place will be our go-to in the area!!

    Paula2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice time. Cabin was very clean. Hot tub was nice. We enjoyed the outside fire pit.

    Amy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our weekend away. Cabin was very easy to get to with paved roads the entire way. So nice to have a cabin with cable and Netflix and you can’t beat the hot tub.

    Alex2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The two nights that we spent here are some of the greatest times of our lives. absolutely beautiful location and a cozy, convenient and clean place makes for an unforgettable experience. You should really really try to find something that you can't find in the cabin. We are already thinking about going back in a few months. Absolutely recommend.

    Mohammad2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very cozy. Decorated in the farmhouse scene. The kitchen was very stocked with all the necessities of cooking. It’s the Perfect romantic getaway for two or a family getaway. Dana was a great host. She responded very fast with every ? The hot tub was a plus too. I would recommend this cabin over and over again.

  • Great, quaint little place in a great location away from it all. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and gathering around the firepit in the evenings. We would happily stay again!

  • This cabin is great! We stayed there with three generations of family the weekend of Thanksgiving. It was perfect!! The layout was great for family games, watching football, and having a great time together. We loved the hot tub. The area seems like it is set up for summer season and lake time, but we enjoyed it in the winter even more. It is near Cumberland Falls State Park, which is a must see. The closest small market is about 20 minutes away so plan accordingly. The cabin had cooking basics (spices, coffee, etc.) which helped tremendously. It was rainy when we were there but we were still able to enjoy the wrap around porch. We loved the big kitchen/great room and our kids enjoyed the having the upstairs for themselves. The towels were fluffy, the beds were comfortable, and all of the amenities were well done. We highly recommend this place if you want to get away!! We loved it!!!

    Katie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is an easy 12 minutes off the main highway, located in quiet woods in a quaint cul-de-sac. You can expect a clean, well appointed, fresh-smelling dwelling. This is the nicest cabin we've ever stayed in. We intend on making this our cabin of choice!

  • Spent thanksgiving here with our 4 kids ages 7-16 and our dog. House was perfect for us. Location was everything we were looking for. Kim had hiking trail ideas and we had so much fun hiking in big south fork. Waterfalls, rocks to climb and all very close by. One rainy day was spent playing games and watching football. We cooked all our meals in the well stocked kitchen. It was just what we needed to get away.

    Brande2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rustic, spacious, great firm beds ( in a good way), very easy to communicate and check in and out. Proximity to Blue Heron park was excellent (10 minutes!). So close and so beautiful! Lots of stars and the fire pit and wood was awesome.

    Sarah2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place. Tucked away, private, clean, cute and cozy. Our family loved out time here. We spent a lot of time visiting parks that were very close and absolutely loved the ATV trails that were super close to the cabin. We liked rocking on the front porch and enjoyed rigorous walks around the cabin with all of the of hills on the pretty private loop the cabin was on. We definitely want to come back to the area and the cabin again. The hosts were very attentive and even brought an airpump when one of our 4-wheeler tires were low. Thanks again for a great week!

    Jessica2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable, and country. We really enjoyed this cabin. It is very clean and well designed with two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. It is located in a rural, but not isolated area and has very modern amenities with WiFi, etc. It was a great place to relax after a day of checking out some of the local sights, and its location worked well to access all the things we wanted to see such as Cumberland Falls, Blue Heron Mining Community, and several arches and overlooks. We would be happy to stay here again.

    John2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! A beautiful and well-maintained cabin! The decor was modern, the beds were comfy, and the jacuzzi bathtub was that extra something we weren’t expecting. Definitely family friendly. Great communication with the host. Lots to do in the area! We will definitely be back.

    Sarah2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is very clean and well decorated! My mom and I stayed for a couple of days and we had a great time. There’s a cozy porch and fire pit to hang out around out back, and nature all around! The beds were comfy and there was satellite tv to watch after walking all day on the trails. The roads can be somewhat confusing just because we would lose signal to our gps every once in awhile, but the scenery was beautiful so we didn’t mind. We got to see a lot of little critters around the property as well. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet escape into nature. It was very relaxing.

    Nicole2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at this home! The house was immaculate and the hostesses we’re very nice and easy to reach. The home itself is secluded but located in a charming hilly neighborhood. Quick drive to local parks and hiking. The Whistle Stop Cafe was great and we enjoyed it twice in our weekend stay! Plan your trip ahead of time for parks and hiking, there’s so much to see!!
