The castle is in the heart of the Schladming-Dachstein region, in the middle of the mountains of the natural park. The 1000-year-old Thannegg Castle was renovated by the Schrempf family with a lot of sensitivity, heart and a lot of love for detail to a small romantic castle hotel.

A cozy twin room features two wooden beds adorned with comfortable bedding. Natural light pours in through a window with sheer curtains, while decorative wall art and charming lanterns complete the space. The room is enhanced by traditional features and warm wooden tones.

The Rauchenbichlerhof is an imposing listed castle, with its own Baroque garden, which was first mentioned by name in 1120 and in which the former mistress of the French Emperor Napoleon I lived in 1831.
