Alpenhotel Dachstein is located just 12 km from the historic town of Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The neolithic region of Salzkammergut offers a wealth of opportunities for families such as winter sports, cycling trails winding over clear lakes and of course great cuisine. Our cottage was built in 1976 mainly from wood as a holiday home and has been family-owned ever since. Since August 2022, we have opened our doors to guests who want to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this unique setting.

Our historic townhouse is located above the Traun River, just behind the striking Kreuzstein, which greets you upon arrival in the village. This charming house was built in the late 19th century and serves as the perfect base for exploring the beauty of Bad Ischl and the Salzkammergut. We rent the lovingly furnished first floor, which exudes a truly cozy character with its antique wooden floors, solid stone walls and inviting wooden windows.
