We are located a few kilometers from the town of Lanquin. The suite has an eclectic decor with neutral colors and spacious spaces. You can visit Semuc Champey, Lanquin River and the Lanquin Caves.
“What a gem! If like us, you are looking for a better value for money than the overcrowded, overrated and definitely overpriced basic accommodation offered by the hostels around Lanquín, this is your spot! Luxury, designed, super comfortable, spacious apartment (there are two units) that can fit up to 6 guests. Strong A/C units (bedroom and living room), no mosquitoes, coffee and courtesy water bottles, hot shower, huge comfortable bed, huge flat-screen TV and good Wi-Fi. There are no power cuts and no Wi-Fi hours or limited electricity times (unlike the hostels). The host went the extra mile and not only provided a wine bottle opener beforehand, but also left us a lovely note with chocolates to congratulate us for our anniversary! The location is within a gas station but don't let it bother you, it was super quiet and actually convenient to have a store downstairs were you can buy drinks and snacks using your credit card (rare!). Also, buses to Coban are leaving from the gas station so no need to take a tuktuk to the health center in town. Either way, it's an easy 7 minutes walk to the city center and the Lanquín bat cave is actually super close by. We felt safe at all times. Would definitely stay there again!”
Apartment Located in the center of the city of Cobán, Alta Verapaz, equipped with basic services, includes full kitchen, wi-fi service, hot water and cable TV. Capacity for four people.
“If you have to stay in Coban, then this is a good place. The off-street secure parking was a real bonus for us. Coban itself is not the best place in Guatemala (we found walking around at night a little daunting), but it is great for Semuc Champey, the Quetzal Bio-reserve and other attractions. Sadly Cafe Greis, the Italian restaurant mentioned in so many other reviews has closed (although finding it on GoogleMaps takes you pretty much to the apartment!). We ate at Casa d’Acuna, which was fantastic but a bit scary to walk back from, and Restaurante Azados, which was very Guatemalan, good food, cheap and quite close! Heidi was very helpful and the apartment was cleaned each day. There is no air conditioning or fan, so it would be very hot in the summer, but recommended.”
Beautiful apartment in Downtown Coban, inside recently builded private complex Casa Fraga, so it gives you a quiet and safe stay, in a very great location
“We have really enjoyed Angel's house. A safe and quiet place and very comfortable. Although we did not see Angel, we were communicated with him at all times and well attended by the person he left in charge. Near the house there are several places to eat and it is a few blocks from the bus that leads to Semuc Champey. For our part, 100% recommended. Thank you very much for everything, Angel!”
