This place was so beautiful and just an unreal experience. If you have come across this review then trust me when I say this will be one of the greatest places you will ever stay. Photos don’t do it justice. Beautiful private room with great amenities and views! Great host as well who was super friendly and gave great recommendations!

Ana is queen of communication. We stayed in this apartment for a week, and I would admit she welcomed us perfectly. She gave us great restaurant recommendations, and welcomed with local fruits which I’ve never seen or tasted before was such a thoughtful gesture. The weather was quite rainy and windy during the week we stayed, and this apartment had everything we needed from beach towels, extra pillows,blankets or heater.She invited us to her own pool but we didn’t get the chance to visit since we were spending entire day hiking. The apartment is surrounded with mountains and banana farms, facing through beautiful ocean view. As we’re both light sleepers, this was the perfect spot for a good night sleep. Looking forward to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in Mauricio house. The view from the house and the sound of the ocean is amazing. The house is newly renovated so it is very confortable. I would have like to have all the necessary like coffee, shower gel, oil etc.. that you don’t want to buy only for few days. Anyway I recommend the place.

It has been sometime since I stayed in a real home-y and cosy house like Betty's. Our whole group (two families with small children ) was very pleasantly surprised by this beautifully decorated home. There were many essentials as well as some offerings by the host readily available. The location(although not very close to the historic center) is fantastic as it is possible to walk to some famous rock pools and a beach, as well as many restaurants, a mall and a supermarket. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

We had a great experience at Raquel's! The balconies make for a phenomenal view over Funchal, and on clear days you can even see the Pico do Aiero peeking between the hills in the distance. There's a cafe downstairs from the apartment that isn't tourist overrun and allowed for peaceful breakfasts and coffees. Yes, the place is located next to a dog grooming service which means there may be excessive barking on occasion; however, considering that Funchal is a very loud and active city, only hearing dogs on occasion is very peaceful as compared to the heart of downtown 😁. Overall, this apartment was wonderful and we had a great stay!

The location is simply fantastic – right on the water with a unique view of the waves that makes every moment special. Such a view is rare to find! The garden is lovingly designed and invites you to stay. There are numerous opportunities for excursions and activities in the area – whether nature, culture or cuisine, there is something for everyone. An all-round successful place to switch off and enjoy!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Woodlovers property. It was clean, beautiful, private, quiet, and an oasis from home while on vacation for 10 days in Madeira. Our hosts were so communicative. We felt well guided before, during and after. Thank you for all the recos. Wouldn’t reco a better stay while visiting this beautiful island.

We had a wonderful holiday. The flat is very clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy with beautiful views and within easy reach from amenities. Iri is a great host. Very helpful and responds promptly. We would definitely go back.

Great 3 days stay, even if the flat is not super big, it’s very well equipped with everything you need. Cozy and comfortable bedroom with nice and bright bathroom. Annikka was a great host, super friendly and gave us all the information. Also she was able to leave us check-in earlier which was a massive help as we had a super early flight. Overall great experience, definitely recommend!

Very clean small cottage in a dreamy environment;view of the immensity of the ocean,large sun terrace. The different areas of the shared terrain, staged,allow privacy and calm. Nice and discreet hosts. Thanks for the Madeira wine and cookies! Very much appreciated my stay with you!

We stayed at the apartment for five nights and truly felt at home! It’s a wonderful place to stay if you want to explore the beauty of Madeira—everything was top-notch. The only small suggestion for a future stay would be to add a few hooks in the bathrooms, which would be super handy. Thank you!

The apartment is in a great location. Tonnes of mixed restaurants nearby (some tourists may prefer if you want home comforts and others authentic Portuguese food) all just a walk away. A short walk to many local supermarkets too which is helpful when you need to quickly grab things. Private pool which was never busy and always quiet! We rented a car and the parking in the apartment is so accessible. We used the apartment as a base for many hikes so drove various distances from here to explore Madeira. Excellent host, great apartment and would stay in this airbnb next visit.

We really enjoyed the accommodation! (family of 6 people) This one is well located, a beautiful view, very peaceful and private place. It is very well equipped, heated pool (for €30/day), barbecue available, very spacious and clean. Which makes it a great value. We recommend it!

We had a wonderful time staying here! The host was very communicative and helpful. The views are STUNNING! The inside could probably use some upgrades, but the outside made the place fantastic! We will be back!

Garden and house are a real delight and all of us felt very much welcome and at home. the house has been carefully and thoughtfully improved since our last stay 5 years ago, without losing it's unique charm. the roar of the sea are all you hear at night. access to the house is via a very steep drive, quite daunting at first. a small car is highly recommended. With our party of 7, having rented the cottage too, that connects to the main house via the garden. we hope to come again.

We stayed at Marco’s apartment with our 1-year-old baby and spent three wonderful weeks there. The accommodation is located in the sunniest part of the island. From the 4th floor, there’s a stunning view of the ocean from both terraces where you can watch the sunset too. The living room is bathed in sunlight all day and overlooks a peaceful park above the plaza. In my opinion, the apartment is even cozier than it appears in the photos and is fully equipped with everything you might need. We cooked and did laundry quite a lot during our stay. There are several restaurants, a hair salon, and a toy shop in the same building as the apartment. Across the street, there’s a greengrocer, and just a few steps away is a shopping mall. The playground is located in park just a block away from the apartment, and at the beginning of the street, there’s a traditional bakery filled with local delicacies. Communication with Marco was very smooth, he’s truly a wonderful host!

An incredible week day, the perfect way to see the island. Hosts were informative and clearly very proud of the 4x4.

Location with a lovely view, local variety of restaurants, coffee/bakeries, and small grocery stores within walking distance. Great kitchen with all the amenities. Would highly recommend this location for short or longer stays.

The place has a fantastic view of the sea – it couldn't get any better. From great sunrises to the rainbow right in front of the balcony above the sea, we had everything with us. It was a really great time. Communication with host Valery was friendly and straightforward at all times. Highly recommended! Those who are sensitive to noise should think of earplugs because of the planes that are close by. We were able to sleep with it wonderfully.

For several months I watched this offer to finally block it. Finally, after 8 months, I managed to rent this house for a week. Well, I’m a visual person and I totally fell in love with the photos. And I’ll tell you something in secret- the photos don’t reflect reality.... it’s much better. A beautiful place, right by the ocean, the ocean sways you to sleep and wakes you up in the morning. The cottage has everything you need for a normal home life. Joana, prepared this place for us like a real Mom - took care of every detail - so that we felt absolutely unique in this special place. Joanna is an extraordinary, wonderful Woman. Full of warmth and empathy. I am very grateful to you Joan for everything you have done for us to make this time so special for us! - thank you! And now dear ones - if you do not see free dates - be patient! It’s worth waiting! It is worth going over 280 stairs to have a piece of paradise for a moment for yourself. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

We had the best time staying at the Crystal house. Fatima was an incredibly friendly host who welcomed us personally and gave us privacy during our stay. She even brought us Madeiran wine and bananas from the garden. The space is big enough for 2 persons, especially with the royal terrace and balcony looking over the valley and the ocean! This was exceptional! The road in front of the house is not extremely busy, but the cars are loud sometimes. The kitchen is not very big, but it has the basics and is good enough for simple dinners. The bathroom is also quite small, but it’s clean and well equipped. The location on the island was ideal for us! You can drive to the highlights quite easily, while still enoying the local atmosphere from Madeira. Muito obrigado Fatima! It was amazing!

A nice stay in a cute little house. We were welcomed by Rosa who explained what we needed to know about the accommodation and activities around Arco de Calheta. The property is quiet on the heights of the city, and what about the view!! Ouahhhh.... Private parking on site, deckchairs, a swing, 3 small terraces... Not far away,a village bar where you can enjoy a super poncha, the owner is friendly:Bar do Russo. In short,not disappointed,a nice short stay at José Miguel's.
