Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

Azay-Sur-Thouet is 1H30 from La Rochelle, 1H00 from Futuroscope and Puy du Fou, 45 min from Marais Poitevin and 10 min from Parthenay (FLIP) and Pougne Hérisson (Festival du Nombril du Monde). A real gîte of character in the heart of a beautiful Poitevin village, 5 minutes from Pescalis, 35 minutes from Puy-du-Fou, 1 hour from Marais Poitevin, and 1 hour 20 minutes from Futuroscope. Restored and very well furnished outbuilding of an old mansion, with enclosed garden. An above-ground swimming pool (Zodiac type, 7 m x 5 m), located on the owners' property, is also accessible for guests.
