Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, very close to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seoul. It consists of Anchae, Sarangchae, and Annex Room. Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services. (House): House where trees live It is located in a quiet residential area in Buk Suwon. We remodeled part of the old house, and all the wooden furniture in the accommodation was handmade by my husband who runs a wooden workshop. We have opened a private space, which is also a furniture showroom and a villa for our family, so that many people can experience it. Due to the nature of the small space, it can only accommodate a limited number of people. Both the bedroom and the living room have windows facing southwest, so it's pretty when the bright afternoon sun comes in, but the humidity and dark atmosphere on rainy days make it a very elegant neutral accommodation.
