Vacation rentals with a kayak in Shenandoah County

Beautiful cabin! There’s a river behind the house for some fishing. Nice fire pit and back patio. As mentioned before from other reviews, be careful with stairs! Very steep. Once I did the walkthrough, we found out it is easier to bring bags through the front of the cabin for those sleeping upstairs and ground level. Those sleeping downstairs entered the house through the back. Also, it is a cabin. Expect bugs. Other than that, WiFi strong (no cell signal), beds comfortable, hot water all the time, and clean area. They had bath towels and blankets.

Had such a great get away weekend with my friends and our 2 dogs! The kitchen was so well stocked with various appliances to make our meals and coffee. An adorable backyard. Friendly neighbors. We visited Shenandoah and a local vineyard. And Nathan has a great dvd collection for a cozy night in. And Nathan is super responsive and laid out instructions in a clear easy to understand way. Might have to come back in the winter for the snow!

Driving through the beautiful countryside to get to this place started the process of a peaceful few days away from the city! After we got settled in, we had a wonderful fire in the living room. There’s even a bin full of wood provided for you✔️ The house was very clean and well stocked. The screened in porch is definitely a bonus! A wonderful place to relax and listen to the water from the stream just a few feet away. We did manage to get in a hike at Big Schloss which is just down the road. Beautiful views! We took advantage of the fire pit (outdoor wood is provided as well!) and made s’mores while my children challenged each other to a game of horseshoes. We will come back again! We were looking for a place to stay after exploring Skyline drive and we are so glad we found Adam's farmhouse! The river views are so idyllic, and it is very quiet apart from the sounds of nature. We loved that there was Netflix!

This was our second stay with Mark and Katie. We could tell they had made the home even better than our first stay. The location is perfect and the scenery is absolutely amazing. We are already looking forward to our next trip to the area.

We had a fantastic stay. The property felt like home and it’s located in a beautiful spot right on the river. The host was amazing and provided us all the information we needed. We truly had an amazing time.

This was a getaway weekend for myself and my two sons. It turned out to be a wonderful experience! The cottage was great, well furnished, clean, comfortable and had just about everything that a guest might need. One of the things we liked the most was the proximity to the lake which was within walking distance. We had a great time fishing there most of the day on Saturday and Sunday. The surrounding area was beautiful with breath taking views of the mountains, fields and valleys. The town of Luray was quite interesting and we had a great lunch on Sunday at an open air restaurant there. It was truly a relaxing experience and we definitely come back again!

This charming little cottage is a wonderful bonus rental to the main house. Though I had not originally rented this cottage when I rented the main house, at the last minute, I had extra guests that needed accommodations and John was able to rent the cottage on very short notice. The cottage was clean and ready for an early check-in in record time and my guests were very happy with this sweet cottage. A beautiful location that is such a lovely spot for a getaway or special weekend trip. A nice little taste of country life for all who come to the Shenandoah Valley.

Short “spring break” stay to take grandkids to Luray Caverns and enjoy the amenities of the “Rivercamp”. The Shenandoah River is right at the back door ! A dock and floating dock to relax and enjoy the views, fish or launch the canoe, kayaks or paddle boards all courtesy of our host. Keith had life jackets and even fishing poles available to use. What a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet and outdoor adventures with our grands! The screened - in porch had a great view of the river ( if we had time to stop and enjoy ) What a unique place! The “ Rivercamp” is only 10 to 15 minutes drive to the town of Luray ; ( restaurants, shops, Luray Caverns, Walmart, etc) yet it seems so private and secluded.

I stayed here with my 9 and 11 year old boys and they absolutely loved the kids bedroom upstairs and the loft. The house was exactly as pictured and honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed here in order to visit Shenandoah and Luray and I also loved how close this house was to George Wash National Forest which is also very beautiful and on the drive to Luray. Kinga was an amazing host and super responsive the whole time. I would definitely stay here again. It was close enough to town to make a grocery run or go to a restaurant but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to unwind by the river. Thanks for an amazing week!

We enjoyed staying at Taby's place, it was very cozy with everything we needed! Taby was quick to respond to any questions that we had, we would love to stay again if we're ever in Virginia.

The house had very much the cabin-in-the-mountains feel that we were hoping for. Boris was super responsive and check-in/check-out was super easy. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Levi was very friendly and easy to talk with regarding his place. He told us about things happening in the area and we went to a festival that he suggested. The place was well keep and super clean. We would DEFINITELY go back again.

I’ve stayed in this place more than once and I’ll do it again every time i have a chance! This Cabin is really beautiful from top to bottom! I personally enjoy cooking and this kitchen was such a great choice! They have it all! Also, if you’re looking for a place to relax and be at peace, this is your go to Airbnb! Trust me, your expectations will be met,.. another thing I like about it, is the location and landscape! It’s like out of a dream, specially during Spring season! Thanks Kelli! If you want a calm getaway with beautiful sights in a beautiful home this is definitely the house for you! My group had an amazing time using all the amenities provided we made smores on the fire pit, barbecued almost everyday there and we got to take the canoes and kayaks out in the water.

One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed! Tom and Margo have maintained a gorgeous cabin and outdoor space. Plenty of amenities and a great stretch of river for fishing, kayaking, wading, and overall relaxing. Super comfy and cozy relaxing by the fire and then coming in to chill in the cabin’s living room. Kitchen was perfect for coffee and all 3 meals. Can’t say enough good things, Hope to visit again soon!!

This is an incredible place to relax and unwind (with or without the kids)! Jaimes was an extremely responsive, helpful and generous host and I would highly recommend visiting her lovely cabin!! Loved and cherished our time at this special place 🫶🏼

We fully enjoyed staying at Tupac's beautiful home! Being in the hot tub and star gazing was such a peaceful experience. Tupac responded right away any time we had a question and he was very helpful and polite! Beds were comfortable and plenty of extra bedding. Provided everything my family needed for our long weekend stay! Thank you!

Cabin was super cozy and welcoming! We had a great restorative weekend here. It would definitely be even better in the summer when we could take more advantage of the outside space but was still lovely in the winter
