Hotel vacation rentals in Shiga

This time, I went with a total of three friends for a trip to Kyoto, but first of all, it was nice that the desk staff was able to speak English, and a little Korean? It was so nice that you spoke about the words. I could leave my luggage at check-in and check-out, and the toast provided for free was nice. I think the location was walkable from Shichijo Station, and it was nice to be near Kiyomizu-dera. Next time I come to Kyoto, I'm thinking of catching it here again!!

Kazuki’s place is truly a gem. He & Deborah were so communicative, providing transport and recommendations for the area. The room is cozy and funky, and the area is so endearing. Mountains, lake, onsen, great food. Perfect way to escape the city - could have stayed much longer.

Was a great experience staying in a traditional guesthouse. The hosts were lovely, cafe was great, and our room was clean, tidy and full of character. Shared facilities (kitchen, toilets, showers) were all very basic and old but were clean enough and did the job. Definitely worth the compromise to experience staying a few nights in a traditional Japanese room! We arrived 15 mins early and were told we had to wait to check-in. Not a major issue as we just sat in the cafe and had a coffee but seemed a little unnecessary as the room was clearly ready (and we were clearly exhausted!) Thanks Team Gojo!

Clean, well-equipped, good location, responsive host. Would recommend this place for groups of 2-3 people.

Such a comfy stay! Great beds, great shower pressure, everything was really clean and we were happy with our stay. It’s close to a station but not as close as other places and not the most convenient station for going to main areas. But was still really easy and I grabbed a great coffee on the way to the station

It is very clean and comfortable, especially the shower room and bathroom are very clean, the surrounding transportation is also relatively convenient, the front desk staff is super cute and enthusiastic, I like ~

I loved my stay in Uji, absolutely fell in love with the town. The apartment's in a very convenient location, at the end of the main street, next to Uji bridge and Byodo-in Omotesando which is lined with shops and restaurants. Depending on which station you come from it's either 5 minutes or 10 minutes by foot. I liked my room (japanese-style, upstairs), it was nice and quiet. The host and his family are a quiet bunch, you barely notice them. They are out a lot but you can always contact them via message, f.e. to request a fresh towel or another blanket or whatever you need. You can use the lobby (= living room/common room) upstairs which has a couch and a fridge till around 11pm. My only complaint is that the downstairs shower had a bit of a mold problem (but there's an upstairs shower too). Also, they have a dog (you barely see or hear it, but you can smell it in the entrance area), so if you have dog allergy beware of that.

Beautiful space and great area with buses and public transit super close!

The location between the canal and the river is beautiful. It was a great set up for an extended family, with lots of rooms and plenty of shared space.

a little bit small space for three adults, but overall is very nice and very clean. walking distance to public transportation too!
