We rent out an entire traditional house that is over 100 years old, located in the rural area of Noto, Shiga-cho. This is not a tourist destination. Surrounded by fields and mountains, you wake up in the morning to birdsong, and at night it is surprisingly quiet. The kitchen is lined with tools for a lifestyle that includes fermentation, such as miso and pickles, which have been passed down in this region. The greatest treat this house offers is the "ordinary life" where nothing is special. We used furniture inherited from local homes and flooring from a demolished temple. It is a space where the time of this land remains, with the scratches and tree rings intact. Room-only stays are standard at our inn. We also offer experiences such as campfires, plant dyeing, and local home cooking upon request (reservation required). You will be guided by local people who have lived here for a long time. You can spend a day doing nothing, or you can chat while watching the fire. Enjoy your time "staying like a local."

The bath, made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) When you step into the bathroom your whole body is enveloped in the scent of the wood. The house is also very close to the ocean.
