Great location, a few minutes walk from the restaurants/bars in town & from the lower chair lift. Above the cafe is super convenient for breakfast or food. Everyone was very helpful throughout our stay, would definitely be back!

Aloha from Hawaii!. We had a most incredible experience at Slopeside, with invaluable assistance from the wonderful staff. Lianne and Sam: a sincere thank you for the local knowledge and hospitality. Reo and Aki (55 Powders Rental): the snowboarding equipment was top notch and we put it to good use on the slopes. Reo's online snowboarding videos are also great! Finally, our snowboarding instructor Taki was excellent and patient with both of our kids. They will never forget their first snowboarding trip and will miss their snowman and igloo.

We will try to come back in the winter! We had a great time there during the green season. Everything at the bakery is amazing. Lots to do in the area.

Luke was a great host- he really went above and beyond for us! The house was just as advertised as well as being clean and spacious. Location is great- close to the slopes, onsens, and downtown. Can’t wait to visit again!

What an amazing stay at Aibiya! We only had 3 nights in Nagano and decided to stay at Yudanaka so we would have quick and easy access to the snow monkey park and the snow fields. Aibiya was the perfect place for our little family with kids aged 8 and 6, an easy walk to the train and bus station. Right from the time of booking, communication was first class. Seongmi and Yoshi offered heaps of suggestions and advice on visiting the region as well as tips for making it a safer trip. Upon arrival, Yoshi made the check-in process very easy, had lots of tips for dining and even booked us a private rooftop onsen at a nearby hotel. The guest house is a beautiful traditional Japanese hotel which immediately felt like home. Our room was spacious and the shared areas were clean and tidy with plenty of books, games and origami for the kids. By far the best thing about our stay were Seongmi and Yoshi, the most welcoming, warm and helpful hosts. We look forward to staying with them again!

Fabulous and gorgeously remodeled structure in the countryside in a quiet peaceful area in a complex of shrines/temples. The surroundings take you back in a slower time which was truly rejuvenating. Lots of heat in the winter, the bathroom area was chillier but is typical for this kind of older structure. Beautiful dining table and tearoom. Has both western beds and Japanese futons on tatami. Appliances, kitchen and bath area were upgraded; kitchen was stocked with sufficient dishes, glassware, pots/pans. It’s about an hour drive north from Nagano. We shopped for groceries at A-coop beforehand. Consider factoring in an additional hour or two especially if going in the winter, so you have your food supplies. Try to pin down your time of arrival for the host. Thank goodness our host Shida was closeby after having waited for us! Also, we went skiing at Nozawa Onsen ski resort, only a 10-15 minute drive away. We enjoyed our stay at Nanahoshian very much. Thank you Shida!

LOVED THE STAY!! They allow dogs which is great and the rooms are very spacious. I love sleeping on Japanese Futons (Though people who like soft beds might not) It is in a good location for both skiing and night life. Nozawa Village is hard to get around with steep hills and narrow snowy streets but once you are checked into the stay you are set! They have a dry room but it is very small which is quite normal for Nozawa. The service was top notch and they bent over backwards to accomodate our every need. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED!!!
