An ancient exterior, a modern interior. Our house was built on the ancient fortification wall of the Abbey. These 12th century walls are a feature throughout the house, and keep it cool in summer and warm in winter. All rooms have plenty of natural light, quality furniture, and all the homely comforts you need on your holiday. Only a 5 minute stroll to the river, 1 minute to bakeries and the village centre. The 11th century Abbey is behind our house, so only a short walk to go and explore.

A superb base for exploring and 'getting away from it all' in rural France, while remaining close to amazing sights and 5 mins from amenities.

Close to shops and restaurants, the Dordogne river and its beaches. At 1: entrance, at 2: bathroom and toilet, bedroom (bed in 160) at the 3 living room. Townhouse above my carpet/seamstress workshop, you can even entrust me with repairs ( to be planned in advance) be careful, you have to be able to climb stairs. See you again ...

Shops are reached by foot. 🚗 1min from Collonges la rouge and close to 8 other ''most beautiful villages in France''. Noise can sometimes be heard from the last apartment between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. We are very cautious in the presence of travellers.
