明宿位於日月潭頭社活盆地，傳說頭社原為日月潭之日潭，當年邵族祖先逐白鹿至湖邊，並於日湖和月湖間定居，後來日本殖民政府為興建水庫，將舊日潭的水排放而使得日潭成為了一塊草泥炭土活盆地，又稱"消失的日潭"，就成為頭社庄前身。頭社為原住民邵族支傳統活動領域，為進入邵族領域之第一社，所以叫做「頭社」。明宿保留傳統的日式禪風，全為獨棟木造日式建築，日式房屋因前後都有窗且可透視至屋後，因此採光好，感覺屋內較為寬敞。採高台式建築，床下設有通風孔，適合台灣高溫多濕的氣候，與現在推廣的綠建築有異曲同工之妙。您一定會愛上我的房源。我的房源適合情侶、孤獨的冒險家、商務旅行者、家庭。

阿里山林居-暖馨雙人房

民宿隔壁鄰居為製茶工廠，做茶時有明顯聲音維持一整天，所以不接待小孩入住，另外比較淺眠，請勿訂房，謝謝喔因民宿位於山區,房子都是依山坡而建，房間需要走樓梯(沒有電梯)，位置是地下二樓民宿位於阿里山公路63.5公里處，在阿里山的一半位置，位於阿里山遊樂園區與奮起湖的中間，開車到阿里山森林園區約40分，到奮起湖車程約15分。
