River trails right out the door for walking, fishing, kayaking. Great spot for foraging, wildlife sitings and star gazing. Furnished kitchen, BBQ on the deck, super comfy bed. Our well is spring fed and glacial. It gets dark and quiet at night. Come reconnect.

Welcome to the "Parker Tract" river house, a modern retreat in the Columbia Gorge along the Washougal River with 200 feet of private riverfront and an incredible swimming and fishing hole. The house sits on just under two acres with beautiful forest, a huge lawn and fire pit, swing set, hot tub, 10-hole frisbee golf course, and all the privacy you could ask for only 45 minutes from Portland. The house is 2 BR, 2 BA. It is a perfect venue for a quiet weekend in a beautiful location.

Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin

We are nestled in the woods within a stone's throw of the stunning White Salmon River. Our cabin dates to the 1920s (one of the oldest in the area but we recently updated it). 4 people max. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full size bed are available). A couple with one or two kids works okay too. What doesn’t work great are 4 adults who sleep separately since that means using the pull out couches downstairs. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.

It’s located 25 mins away from the unique town of Hood River where there are endless activities. Everything from restaurants, breweries, hiking, kite boarding, Windsurfing, fishing, kayaking and more. It’s the perfect spot to get away from city life, but an easy drive if you want to enjoy what the surrounding towns have to offer!

Enjoy the expansive 180 degree views from your private little forest oasis or take advantage of the central location to explore all The Gorge has to offer. We've recently renovated this private retreat to keep our visiting friends and family comfortable. Brian and Jessie welcome you to Acorn Cottage! This quaint 1910 cottage in a quiet neighborhood is a 4 minute walk to downtown Stevenson’s restaurants, shopping and breweries, and a 6 minute walk to the shore of the Columbia River. Located on a quiet street in Stevenson’s oldest neighborhood, Acorn Cottage offers guests a peaceful respite and the opportunity to ‘hide in plain sight’ in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge.

Walking down the path from the parking area you will see the confluence of Canyon Creek and the Washougal River and cabin nestled amongst cedar trees where you will be staying. The cabin was originally built in the 1920's as a vacation home for a predominate Portland Judge. A century later and the spirit of this escape is alive and well with a full remodel providing modern amenities in a beautiful and rustic setting.
