“This location was perfect -- a quick drive to trails, the river, and amenities in town, with a beautiful view from this hillside location. We got a great view of the milky way and of Jupiter in the dark night sky from right out in front of the house. The indoor space was comfortable and roomy for our small family of 3 -- more space even than we expected from the pictures. Since we spent the evenings indoors, we enjoyed the games, books and piano in the "library" room, and the access to various streaming services that we could watch from a comfortable living room. I also appreciated the clean space and the extra disinfecting and time between guests being offered right now for peace of mind. The hosts were very responsive via email. We hope to come back in the winter some time since there is easy access to Wolf Creek ski area from here, too. Overall, a great place to stay!”
Quaint, rustic cabin with a spectacular view. Nestled smack in the middle of a centennial cattle ranch and within walking distance of the Rio Grande River. The ranching operation is an all grass-fed organic beef supplier located next to hundreds of Forest Service roads which are just minutes away. Owners are close by and friendly! If you are looking to book around the holidays and the cabin is blocked please message me for more information.
“We had a simply incredible weekend in a spotless cabin on a working cattle ranch. The views from the cabin are amazing and we could have stayed there the whole time gazing out the huge windows and seeing the snow capped mountains and the farm life. Tracy and her family were such gracious hosts. We had fresh eggs and bought the most delicious steaks from the ranch. We went to see the Sandhill cranes in Monte Vista which was also an amazing experience. Would love to return to this slice of heaven in southern Colorado! Five stars!”
This 1000sq ft cabin in the country with a very rural setting. It is quiet and relaxing, has a wood stove and is close to outdoor activities. Penitent Canyon, La Garita, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, 4wheeling, ATV trails, snowmobiling, skiing (Wolf Creek is 50 min drive). It has a canal running by in the summer. Self-serve breakfast with home-made yogurt, home-made granola, home-made bread for toast, local grown organic eggs, (hot coffee, chocolate, tea).
“Location was very peaceful. Great value for the price. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing location, this is it. Jeanita was great at answering all our questions. This cabin is rustic with the touch of modern that suited us perfect. Thanks for a great stay.”
