Waterfront vacation rentals in South Hobart

We had the most beautiful couple of days in Karen's place. The home is amazing with modern and beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The most amazing views and area is so peaceful and easy to access several towns in the Huon Valley area. East access to the Ferry terminal for Bruny Island. There are many restaurants and Wineries in the region which are worth a visit. Karen is a fabulous host and will help with dining recommendations and travel instructions. Would highly recommend a visit!

We had a perfect Easter weekend staying at Helen’s beautiful cottage! The home itself is beautifully designed, in a quiet street leafy street of battery point, with beautiful surrounding scenery. We immediately felt at home with the generous provisions Helen left us including fresh bread, preserves, fruit, milk and plenty of teas to name a few! The cottage has a beautiful view and we enjoyed time watching the boats and sitting on the front veranda to enjoy the sun with a book. The cottage is very well equipped and super clean - we all slept so well during our stay and had plenty of space for 4 people. Great cafes and restaurants are a short walk away. Helen was a very kind and responsive host and we were very thankful we could arrange a later check out. We would highly recommend Helen’s cottage for a great weekend away exploring Hobart. Branko and Ivanka have thought of everything! I haven’t stayed in such a well equiped Airbnb before. We had a beautiful time . The location is amazing, right on the beach. We were entertained daily by two little ducks that would appear at the same time every day! Walks on the beach, kayaks, most comfortable bed listening to the waves. “Fully” stocked kitchen, comfortable couches and an outside shower to wash off the sand. Truly recommend staying here . The pictures don’t do this place justice! The views are incredible from every room, making you feel like you are on the edge of the world. The bathtub view was a favorite for us, although the view from the Sauna was right up there too! There are so many thoughtful additions for guests- spices in the pantry, books to read - and our kids especially liked the extra toys and games! Macy was such an incredibly responsive host - getting back to us within minutes. All to say- this was a wonderful stay on our trip around Tasmania and we will certainly be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this James' place! The property was in a great location with beautiful views that we enjoyed every day. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we could have hoped for—everything was thoughtfully provided. My family felt right at home, and it was the perfect base for exploring the area. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hobart.

Beautiful apartment that was in the perfect spot. The beds were delightful after a long hike on the Three Capes Track. It suited our group of 5 perfectly. The local artisan shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and central to the pennicotts bus connections that we used for the hike, as well as the Savoy bath house. I would certainly recommend this place to others looking to stay in the Salamenka area.

Our stay at Breakwater Lodge was just as we’d hoped - beautifully peaceful and quiet. Perfect place to go & unwind and enjoy relaxing days doing nothing. Breakwater Lodge has a great fully equipped kitchen, a lovely comfortable lounge area, with a small separate lounging room where you could choose a book from the shelf to read or watch a bit of tv. The deck is the perfect place to spend a quiet morning and afternoon, reading, relaxing and enjoying the view. And the best part about our stay at Breakwater Lodge was that our beautiful old dog got to enjoy it too. Not only a perfect spot to stay, but dog friendly too so highly recommend a little getaway at Breakwater Lodge.
