Hiking trails can be found just around the corner from the house. If you want to take a day trip to Oslo, it's only an hour away. Shopping centers and restaurants are in Töcksfors 10 minutes away.

Nice hiking opportunities in forests and along country roads. 60 km to Oslo. 7 km to the nearest city center with pharmacy and grocery at Skjønhaug. 9 km to Askim with pubs, restaurants and water park, Østfoldbadet. Poor bus connection.
