Your apartment is on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace and the 2,000 sqm natural garden. You enter the apartment through a large wind trap that delimits the hallway in the living area with another door. On the right is the second bedroom with single bed and sofa bed (a total of 3 beds). Next to it the main bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet and large sink, all bright tiled. Opposite you will find the dressing room with a gigantic fitted wardrobe. Through the hallway you pass a storage room into the main living area. A bright, modern, fully equipped kitchen-living room with 4-burner ceramic hob and 2-burner gas hob, oven, large refrigerator, modern dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. invites you to cook together, comfortably. A generous „collection surium“ of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and other kitchen accessories is also available. Directly adjacent to the kitchen is the dining table (extendable) for up to 8 people. Live cooking is therefore guaranteed. :-) The living room is also integrated into the kitchen and offers a very cozy atmosphere with 2 sofas, satellite TV (48 inch LCD TV), hifi boxes for iPhone/Android/iPod (beastly loud and with rich bass). Speaking of cozy: A fireplace is also at your disposal. And if you are not attracted to music and television, we also have a few board games available (chessboard, etc.) The cosy master bedroom with extra shower room and toilet is located in the back and has a very, very back-friendly double bed with metal-free slatted frames, new, continuous mattress. If you can't fall asleep, or you don't want to get up, we have a 32-inch TV connected to a satellite. Washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron are also available in the laundry room on the ground floor. You can also „air dry" your laundry in the laundry room. Table, chairs and barbecue are available on the terrace and invite you to relax in the evenings. Campfires in the garden are also possible! In the back of the garden there is a swing for the little ones; or not quite as small ;-) Since this is a dead end, we hardly have any car traffic here either! Location ====================== Your apartment is far from any hustle and bustle. Right behind the house begins the forest that you can explore for yourself. Whether on foot, on horseback, on bike. In the morning you are awakened by the birds. Or the cows. If you like, you can still drive to all Ruhr metropolises (Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Bochum, Essen, etc.) within a maximum of 60 minutes by car and have access to the world there. For example, you can go exploring via the train station in Oberbrügge (about 8km). The regional train will take you to Dortmund Central Station. From Marineheide (approx. 18km) another regional train will take you to the Cologne main train station. Activities ==================== In addition to exploring the forest, you can also enjoy a number of activities for bad weather days. The nearby Lüdenscheid (approx. 19km) has all the shopping, sports and cultural facilities your heart desires. Detailed description ====================== Your home is located 500m from the nearest neighbor and right on the forest, which invites you to stroll/hike/mountain biking/horseback riding/jogging, etc. 600m from the house is a bus stop that connects you with the outside world. A barbecue is available in the garden at your leisure.

Frenkhausen is located about ten kilometers west of Meschede. The Erlenwald Nature Reserve south of Frenkhausen borders the town. The L 686 runs through Frenkhausen. The Frenkhausener Bach flows into the Kesselbach near the village. Our vacation rental is located in the village. Adjacent towns are Olpe and Herblinghausen. From here you can quickly get to Winterberg, Willingen, Arnsberg, Wildewiese, Sorpesee, Hennesee, Möhnesee and many other beautiful excursion destinations ❤️

It is important to us that you can spend a nice, relaxing time here and unwind. This romantic place to stay offers a history all its own. It used to house cows, today the ecologically converted apartment offers a spacious and bright place for our guests, with its own entrance and huge covered terrace to the west. Every now and then you might encounter a tractor, a horse or chickens. Behind our farm you can start hiking immediately. A good hiking and cycling area and Lake Sorpe await you.

Our "walnut hut" is located near the Listertalsperre on our property at a small pond. The cottage is newly renovated in 2021 and can be lived in all year round. Nature lovers will find numerous hiking trails, sports enthusiasts offers such as horseback riding at the in-house riding facility, water sports at the Listertalsperre, climbing or skiing.
