Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sykkylven Municipality

What a wonderful home away from home for a long weekend! The house is part of two different worlds - one the rural Norway of the past and the other very much the present. Being on a working dairy farm also made us reflect on the sources of our food and how much we take for granted day-to-day. We enjoyed convenient access to kayaking, hiking, cruising the fjord by ferry to Geiranger, and cooking local foods in the well-appointed kitchen. Special thanks to Synnove for fresh home-baked bread and sending on our way with slices of cake for the journey.

My wife and I loved our stay! The house was clean, tidy and comfortable. The surrounding view was exceptional, all visible from the hot tub which was all too welcoming after a few days of hiking! Would recommend to anyone! 😁

Awesome and charming house 😊 Well equipped with what you need to stay. A little secluded place, but by car it's not a problem! Lovely with hot tub 👌 Never met the host, but easy to communicate with her on message, she responded quickly if there was anything we were wondering about. The stay is recommended by us, we are happy to book again if we are going to the area at a later date!

Wonderful and unique property in a stunningly beautiful natural landscape. We wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time here. Easily the best lodging of our trip and likely the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. All of the various indoor/ outdoor areas at the property are awesome. And we were very lucky with weather and only one rainy day. It is quite steep/ many steps up and down between the main house, cabin, and boat house with additional lounge areas down by the water so may not be for everyone. Toril and her husband were also so gracious to show us all around the property at check in, even a bit later than expected. This place was very special and would love to stay there again some day!

We had a fantastic stay here. We have enjoyed all the facilities the cottage has to offer. Upon arrival, the fire was on and the hot tub was already wonderfully heated. The owner is friendly, attentive and responsive. We got good tips for the region. We would love to come back here again!

lovely place to stay when visiting the fiords :) it is a bit far from the main road but the instructions are clear! we managed to reach there at night with almost no lights on the road. roar is a great host always willing to give advice on what to do around. 100% recommended!

This lovely place was our home for almost a month. The location is central and the house very cozy. The mountains are your backyard and the sea right in front of you. We made several trips to the surrounding area, including freeskiing in the mountains, surfing in Hoddevik, Runde puffin island, city visit to Ålesund and hikes in the area. There are several rental saunas in the area, the nearest one is 5 minutes away. The house is well equipped. The hosts Anne-Mari and Terje are very helpful. Sometimes there was bass from the road from the youth's cars, but it didn't bother us too much. Would love to go back again!

We had an amazing stay at an amazing Norwegian farmhouse with hiking nearby and floating saunas on the fjord in Sæbo. Very central to take ferries wherever you want to go. We highly recommend staying here!

I stayed in this house for 3 days for sightseeing such as Geiranger and Trollstigen and the house was very comfortable like my own home. It was neat and clean, and I wrote down all the instructions carefully from the cleaning tools. However, it is in front of the ferry dock, so if you open the window, there will be some flies coming in. The house was quiet and tranquil.

Family of five who had a nice stay at Ragna's during the break. Nice and practical housing with good geographical location. Nice to walk old road into the city center, and short distance to the ferry dock and kiosk/restaurant. Awesome view! Ragna was welcoming and a great host. We'd love to come again.

The host was incredibly welcoming and always quick to respond, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The property has a garage, which is a huge plus during snowstorms—you don’t have to dig out your car! The apartment itself is very clean and cozy, and it’s conveniently located close to the ski slopes. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Where to start? The view, the cozy living room, great shower & sauna, the convenient location to Stranda skiing and Stranda town - a few of many reasons we enjoyed our stay! Good for small and large groups!
