We loved our stay in the characterful and peaceful Pine House - it was a good base for exploring the Coromandel region and provided everything we needed. We even really enjoyed the outdoor shower!

Guests should be prepared for a bit of a disheveled place but gregarious and welcoming hosts who have led a fascinating life. You’ll meet ducks, chickens and sheep - all of whom would like to come inside with you. Brian is delighted to explain the features of their Earthship (our primary interest). These kind hosts toured us around the town and took us for an evening walk to look for glow worms. Guests share a bathroom closed off with just a curtain and featuring a composting toilet.

It’s one of those places you almost don’t want to share with anyone else.. it’s such a treat… Absolutely beautiful villa set amongst bush, a beautiful stream and birdsong. Tuscan themed with beautiful French furniture and touches. Cannot recommend highly enough. Felt like a real getaway and treat for us and host is extremely helpful and responsive.

Rachel was an amazing host! She has lots of connections in the community and was attentive to our interests. Her place felt like home and had everything you could need, including a great selection of books and games. Felt safe and private and peaceful. Well worth our visit!!

Gorgeous and peaceful place to retreat away from busy life! We had a wonderful stay here at Anahata.. we didn’t quite realise how tucked away up in the mountains it is, such a great feeling driving up that winding road looking down on the bay! The place was super clean, very open and spacious and the fire was just what we needed on those rainy days. Big open deck great for yoga and listening to the native birds. Basic kitchen, gas cooker outside. We joined several of the yoga and Kirtan/mantra chanting classes, all were really good and held in another beautiful earth building. Lovely hosts. Highly recommend staying here😊

Beautiful spot and comfy, flexible accommodation. No problems with being off the grid. Enjoyed the hot tub.
