The Hideaway

KerryRating, 5 stars26 months ago
Very clean as everyone else states. The kitchen had all needed pans and utensils. There were no condiments, salt/pepper, oil, etc. We did leave some there. Not sure they will be there for the next guest. Groceries in general are very expensive on this island, so I completely understand. I suggest going to Solomon's Fresh Market if you want a big grocery. The Phoenix grocery around the corner was fine as well. We were there to scuba dive and the dive shop was 5 minutes away. It was very convenient. You are on the opposite side of the island as the main tourist attractions, which we didn't mind at all. This was well worth the price and Ansharday was very responsive with problems, even on Christmas. I recommend this rental.

Bonefish Bungalow

First of all, Fina is a very pleasant and hospitable person. She did everything to make us feel home. It was really great to get to know her better. The place is super charming and comfortable enough to accommodate 4 people. We love cooking, the kitchen had all the supplies we needed. The location is the best we’ll find in Exuma. The Deck is walking distance and the view takes your breath away. Our girls enjoyed kayaking and fishing. When the tight is low you can walk to the shoal. We definitely will return. I recommend Fina’s place. Thank you for everything. Jana, André, Maya and Ayla.

Another GREAT stay at Mrs T's place! We visit the Bahamas often and this AirBnB unit is truly our home away from home! We LOVE it and it's always our first choice when we're headed to the Bahamas.

Pine Island Resorts - Red Bays Room

JamesRating, 5 stars36 months ago
I stayed at Pine Island Resort just for the one night, before heading back to the U.K. The apartments are lovely, decorated in a very modern way. Each one has its own theme, which is based on something / somewhere from the Bahamas. The rooms have everything you need and you can select one with a full kitchen if required. Wifi was really fast. A/C worked well and was nice and quiet. It is right next to the main Queen’s Highway, but don’t worry about noise, there isn’t any traffic around!! Shirley and Kenny were amazing hosts. They went out of their way to help me get around and give advice on the sites to see, this was a real bonus for me, as my visit was a very last minute plan at the end of a work trip. Andros doesn’t have as many glitzy tourist sites to see as other islands, but for me this was the big attraction. There is still loads to do, it just hasn’t been commercialised like many of the more popular islands. If you want to visit somewhere to experience true Bahamas, without hundreds of tourists, this would be a good visit. But don’t expect 5 star luxury hotels and sun beds lined up on the beach. I did find a wonderful quiet beach up at Morgan’s Buff. Just me on the beach! And then later a couple of local families, who are lovely and friendly. Research what there is to do. If you like fishing or diving / snorkelling, then Andros is 100% for you. It has the 3rd largest reef on the world. It even has 3 (small) airports and all only 15 mins flight from the main international airport Nassau. Do it!
