Vacation rentals with a kayak in The Bahamas

Thank you Beth for sharing your beautiful home! We had an absolute blast. Our group decided against renting a car at the last minute, taxi’s were affordable and got us to where we were going on time, always bake in some time if using a taxi, our drivers were always busy, but certainly made time for us. We boated with fun stops and lunch, enjoyed some downtime at the house for kayaking and exploring, and did another boat day for lobster and some snapper….it was amazing and everyone was very welcoming. Thank you Beth! The house is perfect. We’ll be back for sure!

We had an amazing time here. Walter is an amazing host and thought of things to make our stay comfortable. The house is very clean and laid out perfect for a family. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Very quiet and beautiful sunsets at Sunset Rock.

This is an absolute gem - grab it if you can!! Shannon is the ultimate host, and her small bungalow is fantastic. Sat on a clifftop overlooking the Caribbean side of the Elutheran coastline the view is absolutely stunning. If you by chance cannot find anything else to do while on Eluthera, just sitting on the porch overlooking the sea with a glass and a book is a perfect combination. Shannon is the caring and very helpful. She will ensure you have a great stay and gives you advice on things to do on the island - there are very few things she does not know.

The place was nice. It was clean and tidy. It was a little hard to fine, but the host helped us and guided us in. The problem was with the air bnb auto directions, not actually hard to find once you get there. The layout has a lot of steps and the one shower you have to walk down into which was cool, but could be a problem if you have ambulatory challenges. There is Air in both rooms but the common area doesn't so watching TV or using the pull out couch it will be warm. You will probably need to get a rental car as there is nothing walkable. However, that is part of the charm. The outside porch is spacious and you have a view of a small marina and you can see the ocean in the distance. The beach is very rocky and not great for swimming, but nice to wander around on. We had a pleasant stay.

Three little birds is absolutely magical. The house has so much charm, is decorated with so much love and comforted all our needs. We loved waking up hearing the birds, drinking coffee in the garden and watching the sunset from the roof terrace. The location was fantastic, away from the craziness but literally 5 min walking to get somewhere. The beach access was great, the access to ramora bay beach bar and marina was beautiful and the all the helpful tips from Tim made our stay truly incredible. Ow, did i mention the comfortable beds? And perfectly silent working AC? The spacious kitchen en all the boardgames in the livingroom? 5 stars and beyond❤️

The house was as described. If you are looking for a quiet little place with your own personal cove/beach area, then you have found it. The only people we saw was an occasional boat go by. There is 1 neighbor, however we only saw them leave in the morning and come home at night. We enjoyed using the kayak and beach chairs the most.

Lovely house, great hosts. It is pretty far removed, but we loved that. Hosts and property manager were all great. The island is amazing. Important to understand that the coast on the Atlantic side (where the house is) is not swimable and the shore is almost entirely sharp volcanic rock. But the actual beaches on the island are truly stunning.

The Buttonwood cottage was exactly as described. The best part of this property is its unique location: on a cliff, very privately framed by natural vegetation, which also provided afternoon shade. The interior was on the small side but had everything you need for a relaxing stay for two people (plenty of towels, nice sheets, stocked kitchen). Nicole, who lives on the grounds, caringly met some of our requests for additional items. We felt very safe on the large landscaped property. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves, in the morning to the quaint crowing of the village roosters. There is always cool breeze on the deck, we were never hot. We rented a car and traveled all around the island, mostly snorkeling. It eventually became clear that the snorkeling near Buttonwood (right off these cliffs in the photos) was the best. Every time we went swimming we saw the three spotted eagle rays mentioned in the guide. Read the Trip Planner! It made our experience stress free.

Cheree’s place was more than we could have asked for. 100% prepared for travelers that may forget some things, and want some things too big to bring on the plane. We were able to cook delicious dinners with the basics that were there. The surroundings are peaceful and private. A walk on the beach we maybe ran into a handful of people. A perfect place for memories to be made! We would come back here again.

Our family could not have had a better time. Jody’s place did not disappoint and exceeded expectations. Taking my family of 6 to Spanish Wells kids aged 14,13,9,4 (turned 5 on the trip) was quite the adventure with a long journey to arrive. Because of this I had no shortage of questions for Jody. His responses were perfect, thoughtful, made sense, and most of all extremely quick. The house is beautiful, about a 1 minute walk to a beach you feel like is all yours, or 30 seconds if your one of my kids. But the walk was pleasant, peaceful, and was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Lit up wonderfully at night as well. So happy we picked Spanish Wells and could not recommend Turtle Cottage or any of Jody’s cottages on this stretch of heaven. I honestly could go on and on, they were helpful and flexible with travel woes, gave advice that was on point and just good people. Go here and don’t miss opportunity to be here during Christmas.

The place is more than beautiful. The property is located on a beachfront lot. The beach itself is really serene, we’ve seen only 3 people on it over the 4 days we’be passed there…. And it was Christmas… The villa is spacious for our party of two and could ideally accomodate a family. You’ll have every accessories you need to spend 2-3 weeks vacation there. We wish we’d book for longer but decided to visit a couple of Bahamian islands on our 10 day visit. There are lots of good restaurants nearby but a car is really a must if you want to reabh them easily. We liked afternoon munches at Potlatch Club, dinners at Bougainvillea and, of course, relax snacks at Tippy’s. Barbara is a great host and did everything she could to accomodate our (belated by the airline company) arrival and departure. Her manager, Winifred, is also really pleasant to deal with and efficent. I definetly would go again and recommend the place.

The most gorgeous house on a pristine, private beach with turquoise water right outside the door. The house itself is very remote and a journey to get to, but 100% worth it. We grabbed food in Georgetown and cooked most meals at the house - the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed to make delicious meals daily. Che was an incredible host with very prompt responses and the best local recommendations. We highly recommend this home for a quiet, luxurious, peaceful stay on Little Exuma.

Lovely resort. We were in villa 3. Just around the corner from the pool and resort restaurant. It was clean and well stocked. Just keep in mind that the area has limited restaurants within walking distance. We did not get a car and taxis are easy to get but would recommend a car. This unit has a kitchenette. We would bring a few breakfast lunch options with if we return in the future. Beautiful beach and friendly staff. Felt safe our entire stay. Would definitely return.

Had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive and quick to assist whenever we needed anything, which made our trip stress-free. We also went on a fabulous boat tour arranged through the property, with a fantastic guide. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Bahamas!

We rented the Blue Hole Lodge for a couple nights following a group trip to Exuma. I knew I would want a couple days of quiet after the rest of the group flew home. This was perfect. It is just far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful but still close enough that we could grab a bite or do some shopping.
