Lostwithiel train station is in the centre of town and very easy to commute to from London, Bristol and Penzance.

The antique trade is highlighted with Jeffrey's fortnightly Thursday auctions. The Lostwithiel Antiques Centre is open every day. Lostwithiel is reknown for festivals: March -Beer, May -Lostfest culture, June -Gin, July-Carnival, August -song, September -Cider & Produce, December -Dickensian.
