This is an off the beaten path spot that you will enjoy if you like birds and observing nature. These wetlands are actually part of the water treatment plant. There is a bird observation deck and trails that meander around the treatment pools that are surrounded with marsh plants and birds.

One of three premier bird-watching spots in the Verde Valley. Over 200 species of birds have been reported here, including Common Loon, White Pelican, Snow Goose, Golden Eagle, Willow Flycatcher, and Grace's Warbler. Just off 89A with picnic tables and facilities.
