Smoking-friendly vacation rentals in Tōkai Region

perfect place for me, quiet and beautiful view of sunset on the mountain from the balcony. cute kitchen but no gaz for the oven ? ( not sure I didnt have to use it). convenient store 1 min walk. weird location behind an abandonned hotel I think but personnally found this very cool for some reason. The owner was responding very fast and was akways there to help. im very thankful.

The place is lovely and you get to meet a not-so-crowded area of Kyoto. There are public parks, temples, shrines, and restaurants nearby. The closes train/metro is 1,7km away so if you are a fast walker or you just rent a luup or kotobike that’s the quickest way to get downtown. Else you have lots of bus stops nearby, they just take a bit longer. Best for long stays, not so much for people in a rush.

Listing was accurate; there was a little mix up with the apartment but it was sorted easily; host was communicative and helpful; would stay again.

The staff were very kind, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The location is close to the station and very accessible.

The place is in a good location and convenient.The room was clean and comfortable, and some more clothes hanger could have been better.

Toshie was incredibly friendly and provided us with such amazing service. She came and picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back at the station after our stay. She showed us the local restaurants/cafe close by to the accommodation as well as the bus stop to get on/off should we need to use the bus to get to/back from station. The home is beautiful and very comfortable in a nice quiet residential neighbourhood. All the amenities were excellent and there were clear instructions provided. Her daughter is an incredible ceramics artist with her works featured throughout the home, adding a whimsical flair to the environment. We felt relaxed and refreshed after our stay. Highly recommended.

This place was an absolutely wonderful stay. Kaori was very responsive and welcomed us with a bag of pastries. The place was very spacious and very clean. The location is also phenomenal as the island has been a highlight of our trip around Japan so far. Amazing for the price. I would give 6 stars if I could.

We had very good time at this Airbnb. This place is in walking distance to Kyoto train station and bus stands, plus easy access to convenience stores and luggage delivery shop. Host offers very helpful instructions during checkin and also provide local recommendations. NOTE: Lastly, it is perfect place for big group or family as there 4 double size beds in 2 rooms and a separate foyer/room at the entrance for luggage.

Our family of four recently stayed at Yamano Kyoto Residence for five nights during our first visit to Kyoto, and Yamano and his wife truly made our trip unforgettable. The house is exactly as described—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities to make us feel at home. Its convenient location near the train station and bus stop made getting around effortless. The host's prompt and attentive responses to our questions were greatly appreciated. I used it with four friends. I used the barbecue and mahjong, but there was no particular inconvenience, and I was able to use it comfortably.I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

Clean and tidy, ten minutes walk from Nara station.The first floor is a common area such as the living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and the second floor is three bedrooms, and the privacy is very good.The host is warm and meticulous, can pick up if the time is right, also prepared snacks, water, towels, toiletries, etc., there are paper towels and bins in every space, it was a nice stay.

What a great place. Hands down one of the better airbnb experiences we’ve encountered. From the peaceful and well thought out place to all the attention to detail, the wonderful environment and views and great communication, this airbnb was really good. Also HIGHLY recommend eating at Satsuki Sushi in town - we’ve had some higher end Sushi in Tokyo but this was amazing value for money!

Really enjoyed our stay in this cosy charming home which has a traditional feel just what we wanted to experience in Kyoto. The host was extremely thoughtful in providing above and beyond the basics such as milk, snacks, lovely coffee tea etc. We felt so comfortable right at home. Great stay in Nagoya, close to transport and the stadium. Great opportunity to try traditional tatami beds. Hosts were helpful in allowing us to drop luggage off before checking in.

The house is in a great location👍🏻👍🏻, the room space is big and clean, the owner is also very nice❤️, you can walk to Kin market, next time to Kyoto will choose Hisano's homestay🙏🏻🙏🏻

Beautiful, spacious apartment. Great location, close to two train stations which makes it easy to get round the city. Sakura was really helpful and responsive.

We stayed with Yoko for the second time and again very satisfied. The apartment is incredibly large and everything you need was there. The beds are very cozy and Yoko took good care of us, she even cooked something extra for us. We will definitely be happy to come back!

I liked that the place was so quiet. Still, it was convenient because it was a tourist destination just a 10-minute walk away!
