It was a very great place to stay.The Japanese atmosphere was luxurious, and the cooking experience in the hearth and oven was a really special time. It was a rainy day, but I enjoyed it relaxing regardless of the weather. The host was also very kind, and I had many polite messages before my stay, which made me feel at ease. The whole family was very satisfied.We would like to stay there again.

I am thankful to Ikuku for waiting for my late check-in. I had to deal with a friend leaving a coat on a train and getting it back. Ikuku was so efficient and friendly and understanding that I was extremely busy with my group. I will visit again with more time to relax. I enjoyed the fireplace at night and decompressing after a long day of being a guide.

Otoyo no Mori is in a gorgeous location. Very spacious house and enjoyable surroundings. Quite isolated location, so would recommend having a car, but such a beautiful area, I would definitely recommend this place. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A quiet place to forget the hustle and bustle of the city We had a relaxing time. When we arrived, the cat greeted us and was very cute. It was nice to be refreshed by cooking with firewood that I usually don't experience, and take a walk nearby to get in touch with nature. There are also supermarkets, roadside stations, shopping malls, coin laundry, etc. nearby, so I thought it would be good to be able to buy something shortly if something is missing. The host is also friendly and accommodating, and we'd love to stay again.Thank you very much.

It was rich in nature and a very good place. They told us about the recommended observatory and the lighting of the park, and the children enjoyed it very much! The amenities were more than described, and I never felt any inconvenience during my stay. It was much more pleasant and a full trip than we had planned!Thank you so much (^ - ^)

We had an amazing 3 days at Hitoshi's. Every day we were amazed by the meals all prepared by Emiko and Hitoshi. In addition to the delicious meals, the Goemon-buro bath prepared by Hitoshi was one of the most enjoyable moments of the day! Hitoshi and Emiko were particularly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The area is really very beautiful and we highly recommend a stay in Sugi no ko! Thank you!!

Wonderful stay in a traditional house. The place is located just outside the city in a peaceful neighborhood next door to a shrine and gardens and rice fields. Masae is such a kind person and super fun to talk with. Overall it was one of the best lodging experiences in Japan and highly recommended if visiting anywhere near Tokushima. Hope to return one day soon.

Two couples used it for the purpose of traveling around.Highly recommended for those looking for a peaceful getaway in the natural countryside or if you want to experience Japanese culture.A car is recommended for getting around. It is an old house full of historical charm but with modern comforts. The host, Mitsuko, will welcome you with the warmth of returning to his parents' home.I called him "mom" during my stay. I like the bath because it has a retro atmosphere that feels like the Showa period.You can also go to Tsukaya Onsen in 20 minutes by car.Both are recommended. My mother's homemade dishes were nutritious, and the handmade suodo ponzu was delicious.Next time, I want to stay and make ponzu with my mom during the harvest time.

I can’t recommend Noriko’s home stay enough. It was a clear highlight of my trip through Japan and I devotedly won’t forget it. I highly recommend doing the indigo dyeing workshop and booking a woodfire dinner.

I highly recommend staying at Noriko's house. It was the best experience of my trip to Japan. I felt at home with my dear and sweet Kamecha, always very kind teaching me her knowledge about indigo. Naoki was always very kind and helped me a lot with a problem I had with my car. The house has a very authentic Japanese style with good taste in decoration and many antique pieces. Very cozy and comfortable. Noriko was always very helpful and kind with messages as she was in Tokyo. Just five minute far by car there’s an amazing onsen with a view to the river and waterfall. I hope to come back there soon as they are like my family in Japan.
