SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.

Irori guesthouse Tenmaku is opened from May 2018 after the 6months renovation. The common area was designed Japanese modern style, and you could stay and enjoy the fire from Irori (Japanese traditional fire pit).
