Welcome to the Old Stables, a beautiful and stylish barn conversion near Freshwater Bay on the Isle of Wight. This property was originally part of the Farringford Estate owned by Lord Tennyson, the world renown poet. Nestling at the foot of the downs the property is located up a private lane in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is within easy walking distance of Freshwater Bay - the local beach - nearby shops, a superb cafe/bar and friendly pub.
“Zena and Phil are excellent hosts. Their venue is beautiful, their hospitality was excellent and comforting and their communication was impeccable. The barn was extremely clean and stocked with everything we needed, including logs for their log burner (which was perfect to have burning during Storm Dennis) the stay was wonderful and you could say the only thing wrong with the weekend was the weather. I highly recommend anyone to stay at Zena and Phil’s barn and will be more than likely to return myself in the future.”
Our annex is fully furnished and ready for self catering holidays or short stays. “We had a lovely stay at this Airbnb ! The accommodations were perfect and super clean. Everything we needed was there from bread to paper towels to an unexpected gorgeous view of the sunset over the Solent. The hosts are very pleasant and ready to help with questions. We’d choose this place again.”

“A beautiful family home in a great location. We received a warm welcome from Iain and Sara, who greeted us with refreshments as soon as we arrived after completing 22 miles of 'Walk the Wight'. We had the luxury of a bedroom, a small sitting room and a delicious breakfast the following morning. Iain and Sara are generous and friendly hosts.”
