Charming 1940s farmhouse. Updated 1 1/2 story house in a rural setting overlooking the Mighty Mississippi River, but close to the heart of Cape Girardeau. Our house has lots of room to relax with a large kitchen and sunroom. You can sit by a cozy fire pit and enjoy chilly evenings watching the beautiful sunsets. This cabin is in the village of Alto Pass, in the Shawnee National Forest and along the Southern IL wine trail. Adjacent to a Victorian home, it is a separate cottage, renovated in 2017-18, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, washer/dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, dining/living area, TV (Amazon/wifi), and deck with views of woods and valley. (The couch's foot rests work by plugging in the couch and are in good working condition.)
