Monthly Rentals in Upper Vobster

Katie’s place is amazing! I was there for 6 weeks as I was working in the area. Katie and the lovely Bear dog were so welcoming, the place was easy to find, parking very simple. Location wise is great, it’s in the countryside then a short drive to Frome, go for the first Sunday of the month, the market is 👌. The bed was so comfortable and it’s the first time I’ve slept through the night in years, the area is so quiet. The wood burner is so charming and it heats the room very quickly. The garden area is fabulous and star gazing is top notch. I loved the bathroom, the water pressure is superb, despite the windows it’s completely private. I will say that I went there hating spiders but my mother told me to name them as killing them is bad luck, so if you do book here please be kind to Mr Sh1thead who lives by the windowsill, he only comes out at night and sits on his little web house and will run back inside if you clap loudly. He disappeared for 2 days and I was genuinely worried 😂.

We’d definitely recommend staying at Andrea’s, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again for another visit to the area. The place feels welcoming, with lots of helpful touches (a good breakfast selection and 2 local OS maps). If you’re looking for a cottage where everything is on the ground level, no steps to get in and being able to park right in front of the property then look no further. It’s a great location for exploring Somerset and Wiltshire with trips to Cheddar Gorge and towns such as Frome and Wells in easy reach and longer day trips to places like Bristol or Bath are also possible. There are lots of ancient monuments like chalk horses, standing stones and castles around too.

What a beautiful cottage in a spectacular village. It was a privilege to stay in such a truly lovely place. Maggie and Rob were gracious hosts and the villagers welcoming. Thank you Mells!

I had the most amazing stay at le shed recovering from surgery and escaping life. Jane could not have been more welcoming or supportive with her magical breakfast fairy deliveries. Every minute detail has been thought of from hot water bottles, endless wood for fires, slippers and dog treats. It is a beautiful place to stay for some R+R. I can’t wait to return. Thank you Janey x
