Vacation rentals in Urubokka

Staying at Lakmali's place in Runakanda Forest is definitely one of my top 5 favorite places in Sri Lanka. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay there, especially with my mom, as it was her first time in Sri Lanka,and she absolutely loved every moment of it! The food was beyond incredible! Each meal was showcasing the rich and flavorful Sri Lankan cuisine. The peaceful and serene surroundings of the forest made it the perfect escape. It’s a truly tranquil place where we could relax, and the location was just ideal for enjoying authentic local experiences. We had the chance to pick tea just a short walk away from the cottage, a unique experience that we’ll never forget. We also had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people, and the warm hospitality made our stay feel special. My mom and I both agreed that it was a stay we’ll cherish forever. I can’t recommend Lakmali’s place highly enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic, and unforgettable experience in SL !

Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht in der Unterkunft, hatten aber trotzdem eine super Zeit! Wir haben auch die Safari hier gebucht, was super in der Umsetzung geklappt hat! Wurden direkt vor Ort abgeholt & auch wieder zurück gebracht. Die Zimmer sind super geräumig & das Personal so unfassbar lieb! Super hilfsbereit & immer als Ansprechpartner vor Ort! Unser Highlight war mit Sicherheit das leckere Abendessen welches wir einen Tag zuvor dazu gebucht hatten. Fantastisch! Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen & die Unterkunft empfehlen! :)

Неплохая вилла, есть все необходимое, удобные кровати, чистый бассейн, относительно недалеко от хорошего пляжа на унаватуне (15-20 минут езды). Вокруг тихо, не возле дороги. Из минусов довольно много живности которая может заползать в щели под крышей (белочки, гекконы, комары), так как вилла расположена на окраине города. Также ремонт немного не соответствует фотографиям. Он все еще хорош, но чувствуется что вилле необходимо обновление (например крыша возле бассейна должна быть прозрачная, а она сильно потускнела и загрязнилась). Но в целом скорее рекомендую чем нет.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and my daughters were excited to have their own little house! It was well set up with a restaurant across the road for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and also packed breakfast for the safari if needed. The hosts were very friendly and showed us lots of birds and animals in the lush garden. They also shared badminton nets and cricket bats for our daughters to play and put up big hammocks to relax in. They were able to arrange everything such as the safari tour, a trip to the local Buddhist temple and to see a colony of fruit bats, and a car to our next destination. I’d recommend going for the 6 hour safari as you can go a bit further into the park and not be around as many jeeps. We saw elephants, mongoose, monitor lizards, the giant Sri Lankan squirrel, crocodiles, wallowing buffalo and 20+ kinds of birds. Recommended as a place to stay near the safari park entrance.

Saman war ein großartiger Gastgeber! Wir kamen im strömenden Regen an & wurden mit Tee und kleinen Snacks willkommen geheißen. Saman organisierte uns eine tolle Safari, sodass wir uns um nichts kümmern mussten. Nach der Safari bekamen wir noch ein Frühstück. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen die Unterkunft jedem weiter!

WOW, This is the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. the moment the gates opened we was greeted by chandana, priyantha and malani. a much needed welcome after the long journey. A refreshment and cold towel, was given to us by malani. The villa itself made even more special by these three Amazing people. The gardens are just the most stunning scenery pure bliss, the sounds of the wildlife inside and the surroundings are just amazing. Priyantha attends every morning and evening to clean the pool and surrounding garden the month we went was when the leafs fell from the tree he worked tirelessly everyday am and pm to assure the lawns was clear “for the children to play” he also took us to hikkaduwa most evenings, we would what’s app him and he would come and collect us. Malani also worked tirelessly cleaning the villa everyday and on 3 occasions brining in breakfast for us. Chandana Went above and beyond we went on 3 excursions with him. One of the nicest people ever.

we had a wonderful stay, the pool was amazing and clean, it's a place where you can have quality time with people you love. the outdoor spaces are fantastic.

This place is a luxurious gem in the rainforest. The surroundings are beautiful and the cabin is spotlessly clean and tastefully done. It's a surreal experience falling asleep to the sound of the rainforest outside! The WiFi actually works here, unlike many other places we've stayed, and we felt completely safe and looked after during our stay. Sandaru arranged a wildlife tour in the rainforest and we saw snakes, lizards and lots of other flora and fauna. Thanks, Sandaru!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Thisarn’s villa. A peaceful spot with a lovely aspect and delicious breakfast and dinners prepared by the family. Thisarn took us on a fabulous 6 hour guided rainforest walk - saw many interesting birds, reptiles and plants, together with langurs and a giant squirrel. Lunch by the waterfall was great, with fish foot therapy (if you choose!). The second large waterfall was beautiful for a swim and a reminder of the power of nature! Highly recommend - also a beautiful drive in to Matara from Galle in our rented tuk tuk.
