September 2017I stayed at Andy's place for a total of 5 weeks (3 weeks originally and then I extended for another 2 weeks). My favourite thing about the apartment is how light, sunny and spacious it is. I was craving a base after living my out of my suitcase for 10 months and it became the perfect little home away from home.
I have to mention I was welcomed by Andy with at least 4 days worth of food including pasta, pizza, wine, bread, beer, cookies, and fresh flowers which was super thoughtful. Andy, is a top host, in fact the best I've come across in the time I've travelled. Super friendly, great communication, helpful, but gave me the space I needed.
The apartment was very clean, and well stocked with all kitchen cooking basics, and also soap, toiletries, all cleaning/ laundry products etc. For a tired traveller in a new city, it is lovely not to have to find a supermarket as soon as you arrive to source essentials.
The location of Leith is very central to everything, buses, eateries, taxis, bars, supermarkets, and shops are all minutes away, and the city centre is only a 20-30 min walk away if inclined.
Car parking along Dalmeny Rd is free and it was never too difficult to find a park, occasionally it was full but I always managed to find a space along Easter Road in a pinch, which was only a 5 min walk.
I would definitely stay again.
Thanks Andy

September 2016Andy is a great host who went beyond what we would have expected to greet us and make us feel welcome. We arrived rather late at night after a delayed flight, and still Andy made sure to stay up and then help us settle in. He was always available when we needed advice or when we had to extend our stay, and is overall a wonderful person!
The apartment itself is cosy and comfortable, in an area that has lots of cute restaurants and bars/cafés. It's not in the city centre, but there are lots of buses and a pleasant walk to Waverley/Old Town.
Definitely would recommend this lovely lodging to anyone who wants to see Edinburgh!

August 2016Andy was a wonderful host! He did everything he could to help us out, both with the house and with the city.
He was always polite, helpful...a really nice guy! Even though we had a baby boy he had no problem hosting us, not even with the fact that we arrived really late at night and he had to stay up and wait for us, he had even bought the essentials for us for our first morning...He treated us as a friend! It was a pleasure to meet him and stay at his place.... We can only thank Andy for what he did to make us feel as more at home as he could...
