History, charm, and exceptional hosts ✨⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staying at this old school was a one-of-a-kind experience. The place combines its history with all the modern amenities, creating a cozy and special atmosphere. But the best part was undoubtedly the hosts: attentive, friendly and always willing to help. An unforgettable place I'll definitely be back to!

As the hosts said, when you think “there’s no way it could be here,” that’s exactly where it is. After parking, a short walk through a quiet village with old stone ruins brings you to the lake—and suddenly, there it is: a house that feels both part of nature and a world apart. Self check-in was seamless, with wonderful communication from Carmen throughout. She even sent us sunny photos the morning we were arriving. We stayed with our three dogs and they were in heaven—lounging on the patio, mesmerized by the shimmering lake and the occasional fish jumping out of the water. Stone walls, panoramic windows, very rustic and romantic. The bathrooms are small but carved from stone and full of character—like bathing in a secret cave. The second day - power down in Spain. Carmen was trying to get in touch with us whenever we had a bit of connection, and at one point we lost any coverage so Carmen went above and beyond, getting us lanterns and mini stove. Awesome!! Everything was perfect!

Everything was perfect, better than the pictures! The apartament is new, comfortable and with an impressive view. Super quiet and excellently located to tour the Ribeira Sacra. I recommend it without hesitation!

Staying in the house of Jesus and his family was a real pleasure. From the moment we arrived and we were given the directions, we were already treated at home. With their own friendliness and good do of a Galician family, with local recommendations, and even some other affection on their part to enjoy dinner. Attention to detail, family and friendly treatment, you can't ask for more. The adjacent space with the dining room, barbecue, garden and kitchen, is excellent. I would appreciate a better insulation of the dining room ceiling area, for the cold nights of Galicia. Regarding the housing facilities, being a group of 7 friends, the different stays, having heating available, several kitchens and bathrooms, facilitated this weekend. While it is true that the house is still under renovation due to its antiquated furnishings. It is a small inconvenience, which does not make it impossible to enjoy the house. We'll be back! Thank you Jesus!

Super great stay. The house was just as described in the listing even better if possible, we went out enchanted,the beautiful building and Katia as a spectacular host (friendly, close and attentive to what we needed) even gave us directions where to go and what was in the village that weekend. All in all when I come back to O Barco, we will stay at Katia's place again.

We were in the accommodation for a few hours since we arrived late at night and left early in the morning, but we would definitely stay again. Everything was impeccable, the host was very nice to us, the apartment was spacious and beautiful, she left us water, coffee, tea, muffins for breakfast, etc. Definitely one of the best homes I've been to. I look forward to returning to the area and staying there again. Thanks to the host for everything.

Very good stay, I'm not going to list the positive points, there are far too many. 😉👍 If I want to be picky, it was just missing a spatula for the kitchen and a glove to take the dishes out of the oven (and maybe a fan). I highly recommend the accommodation and the host, if we return to the area, we will probably come back here, we are very happy with the stay 🙂

Fernando was exceptional and met and welcomed us at the door. He provided a tour of the apartment and was so friendly answering some questions we had. Place was spotless and comfortable, exactly what we needed after a long day. Excellent location with everything you need very close by. We would definitely rent again if we visit again. Highly Recommend.

The house is very cozy, with that fireplace that falls in love and has everything you need to spend a comfortable vacation. Everything was very clean, and the host was very friendly, offering us information about routes and tourist places to visit.
