“What a perfectly finished, clean and nice garden shed! In the evening we sat outside by the fire, which you can make yourself. Had a very good breakfast the next day! Erna is very careful and careful about the corona measures. Everything is clean, she keeps away and wears gloves when serving breakfast. The house is in a corner of the garden, but it is sufficiently shielded.”

“Beautiful location. We had an event nearby and were able to relax and recover from the event. Nice, clean and new B&B. Very cozy and atmospheric. We definitely consider staying here again and seeing more of the area.”
This beautiful building with historical (1648) and monumental character in Scherpenzeel (centrally located in the Netherlands within a 10 minutes drive connected with the major highways A12, A28 and A30) with all important facilities (a.o supermarket, restaurant, bakery and butcher) around the corner is fully equiped with a high standard and nice interior. Hospitality, personal check-in and service (including cleaning) are standard.
“My husband and I have stayed here for almost a month. Truly feels like home and I actually wish I didn't have to leave haha, you have EVERYTHING you could possibly need here in such a convenient location and the cleaning provided every week is a plus! HOST: In regards to the host, JW. I think he needs to have the badge/tag of a Superhost as he truly went above and beyond for our satisfaction in this home. Very nice and lovely gentleman who is passionate about this home and its history. Swift and easy when it comes to communication and gave us great tips about the town and its public transportation services. There was a minor issue about the water being cold (no hot water) in which he came over right away and fixed it. HOME: In regards to the home, it is a monumental piece of the town and has stood since the 17th century (if I remember correctly). Its history is in the photos that hang within the beautiful home. The design of the home is very lovely a bit retro with the pea green paint and appliances, it is very cute. I personally couldn't help but stare into the checkerboard sink sometimes. :P The bed is super comfortable, especially when you get the weekly fresh sheets! I loved the shower, the sofa is great too....it just feels like...well HOME! LOCATION: After being here for almost a month, Scherpenzeel is a lovely small town. The green scenery and trail walk with the ducks and creeks is one of its many charms. The townspeople are nice and you have everything you could need just around the corner. If you are looking for food, ALDI is a great place for that which is only a 4 minute walk, but I personally prefer JUMBO which is just straight outside about a 2 minute walk. Depending on the day, there is usually food trucks and mine and my husband's personal favorite food truck was something like VISHANDEL, the man who is generally there is super nice and we recommend the fried shrimps, super delicious! The bus stop is also just a 2-3 minute walk outside and it's a good 10 minute ride from the bus to the train station and then about 20-30 minutes to get to a city like Utrecht if you're a tourist! OVERALL: 10/10 a million stars, thank you JW for being such a wonderful host and truly making this home...a home. All the best,”
