There are also frying pans and pots. There is no running water, so we will fill a water bottle with clean drinking water, which can be used for both cooking and washing dishes. With only a few meters to the fjord, an almost has the experience of sleeping in the water. The farm shop was named Norway's best farm shop in 2023 and 2025 and is a small attraction in itself. Right next door you will find a sauna that can be booked with equally good views.

Benedikte's house on architect-designed Svindland farm

Benedikte House is located about ten minutes drive from Egersund city center and about five minutes from E39. We have tried to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one who lived in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the edge of the yard at Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and quiet. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock couple that walk freely. The house is very modern and well equipped.

Within 1 hour by car you can reach the towns of Stavanger and Eigersund, or visit Månafossen and Kongeparken. It takes ca 1,5 hours by car to the parking at Preikestolen. Welcome to our family cabin. You can enjoy the nice view over the Lysefjord, special from the terrace. It is just a few minutes from the see, where you can take a bath. The cabin has a perfect location for a lot of hikings in the area: Preikestolen, Flørli, Kjerag and a lot of other places. It is only a few minutes by car to the Forsand quay, and departures for Flørli and Lysebotn.

Welcome to our simple and peaceful accommodation with a central location. When you come to us you will spend the night on the second floor of the house. Here you will sleep in your own room, there is a bathroom, kitchen and living room on the same floor. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the train station and down to us.
