Vacation rentals with breakfast in Vila Real District

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Excellent. A magnificent place, old house, with period furniture, terrace, fully equipped, with unique details, such as bringing bread at the door for breakfast. The most pleasant and recommended place of the many I have visited by Airbnb in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Germany.

It’s a bit of a drive off the beaten path to get there (car GPS had no problem) but well worth the drive! A lovely vineyard with spectacular views from every angle! Even though we were there in mid Oct, went for a very refreshing swim in the pool that is steps away from our room. Just a short walk away is a lovely waterfall on the grounds. Sonia lives on site - she is a gem. She does all the cleaning as well as offers laundry service (for a very small fee). The place was spotless & well appointed. We were provided with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal, several cartons of milk & juice, butter, jams, ham & cheese. We also were provided with copious amounts of a variety of fruit (oranges & kiwi grown right there in the vineyard) The piece de resistance were the homemade (by Sonia) rolls and croissants we received every morning - they were the bomb!! Enough food for us to enjoy for breakfast & lunch! Stay here. It will NOT disappoint.

Probably the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve stayed at lots. The views are incredible, the warm and friendly hosts that are about the nicest people you could hope to meet, the comfortable unique house, it was all magical.

For me and my family, nothing better. We combine a location close to nature and the beautiful regions of the Douro. Great for long stay. I'll be back whenever I can. Thanks a lot. Very clean and educadissimos hosts.

The view from the house is spectacular. We looked down over the Pinhão River and could also see the Douro River, boats and trains that passed by Pinhão. The house is large with two floors so there is ample room for 4 people. Henriqueta left a substantial amount of supplies for us, unlike many places that leave just enough to get you started, there was enough coffee, milk, juice, cold meats, cheese, butter, fruit and bread for our entire stay of six days and laundry soap. I would describe the furnishings as "eclectic" however, where the place truly shines is outdoors. There is a lovely tiered garden with fruit trees, flowers and herbs and it carries around outside the gate up the hill which we hiked up to visit the ruins above the house. There is an outdoor barbecue with ample charcoal and wood, which we also used as well as patio tables and chairs. Outside the entrance is a long counter with 8 chairs, perfect for your morning coffee in the sun. We were too early April for the hot tub

It was a wonderful stay. The house is spacious and modern and clean. It’s a small town so having breakfast brought to us in the morning was wonderful and plentiful and delicious. Helena is a charm, so warm

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

You'll get more than you see. Very quiet and in beautiful area. The host is humble and tidy. Excellent. At least 6 stars.

The place was beautiful. My favourite thing in the apartment was the stunning view to the roman bridge. The apartment was lovely and had everything one needs to cook in. Walking distance to the historical centre and all major sightings. Definitely worth it for a chilled weekend away!

Great accommodation, very peacefull we loved our stay and the wine tastery! Also breakfast was amazing :)

We were a group of 3. We travel a lot and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches at Ana's place! We drove from Porto and arrived early and Ana was very flexible about allowing us to leave our bags earlier than the check in time. Of the Airbnbs in Portugal, this was our favorite. Do not expect modern decorations but you can count on many comforts that other Airbnbs do not have. Not only is fresh bread delivered each morning but Ana also stocked her kitchen with fresh fruit, milk, juice, sugar, honey, jams, plenty of coffee pods, and she stocked the refrigerator with cheese, eggs, beer, a bottle of wine. The place is very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated more than 3 people. There are cosy bathrobes in the closets, an extra blanket, slippers and plenty of outlets in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony is so lovely and peaceful. If you come to Pinhao, I highly recommend Ana's place!

While visiting Portugal for a wedding, we enjoyed our stay very much. Very welcoming, impeccable cleanliness, very helpful host. We had a great stay.

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

André and his team are very pleasant, attentive. The place of the stay is impeccable and very comfortable. I would definitely return to host with him. I recommend 100% as the cost-benefit is very high. Congratulations!!

Cidalia’s place was outstanding. Beautiful room, and amazing views. Gorgeous pool right above Douro. Dary Cidalia’s son was super helpful with every small request. He is a chef, and the breakfast he served was not only delicious with a huge variety, but also beautifully served. The room was spacious and spotless, the place is nice and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the pool anymore because it was quite cool. I would recommend it to families with little ones who want to hike around the area, which is very beautiful.
