Vacation rentals with a kayak in Vila Real District

This was a absolutely stunning place. We were greeted by the family and host who were so friendly and welcoming. The space is so special, they’ve thought about every detail and made a very homely place in a old and characterful building. The animals and stream by the house were the cherry on top. Amazing and perfect getaway from the city to the peaceful countryside. This house was all what we wanted! Juan was very communicative and Graça who met us there made us feel immediately at home. Her breakfasts were amazing and beautiful organised. Definitely recommend. We will come back in the summer as well.

If you want to get off the beaten path and enjoy the company of a kind, caring, and genuine host, this is the place. You'll navigate through the narrow cobble streets of several small towns once leaving the freeway. This is where life starts to slow down. As you approach the Duoro valley, you'll wind down the hill on a barely 2 lane road. Waze is your trusty friend. If you have one, bring your musical side to play with Mario. Several instruments are waiting. This is not a new house, but you really only know it by the creaky floors. But sit and relax, hike to the waterfall, hang out riverside at the private site, enjoy house-made wines and food, and kayak across the river to a great restaurant to fill your peaceful and comfortable time.

The house corresponds exactly to the description and the photos, bright, well decorated and with everything necessary, already the views are even better than in the photos. Undoubtedly the freest and most beautiful part of the Douro, far from the confusion and tourist over-exploitation. The access to the river is about 8 min walk from the house and if the temperature allows it, great for bathing. The beds are comfortable and the house has good sun exposure and thermal insulation, even though outside it could be cooler the house was naturally warm. Mário has always been available and helpful and is in a bigger house upstairs, a few tens of meters away. We very much liked the location, the house and returning to our grandparents' land, I highly recommend it and we will certainly come back more often.

Amazing place with a breathtaking view of the Douro! In addition, possibility of kayaking!! This place is sublime and very soothing.

We chose this place for a little escape by the end of our busy season and to celebrate a birthday. We wanted a hut, peace and nature. We got it here. The hut served our purposes for the short stay with all the amenities you need, including heating. The views were breathtaking and the location is out of this world. During the day (a week day) one could only hear birds and the nighttime is one of the most peaceful you can get. Of the sky is clear, it's perfect to watch shooting stars. Would be back at anytime for a longer term.

The house was absolutely stunning — a true gem nestled in the breathtaking landscape by the river Tua! It was impeccably clean, spotless in every corner, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. Paula was incredibly responsive and attentive, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend this amazing retreat!
