Listen to the sounds of rushing water as you sleep in this beautifully finished cabin style tree house. I was recently featured in The Atlantic online magazine article on tree houses. You can find it in the video section of the online magazine.
“Brian is a darling, sharing his adorable treehouse and grounds on the river, his house is amazing and he is so welcoming. The treehouse is sturdy and delightful, with a porch that puts you directly above the rushing waters of the Washougal River. The sounds of the river, birds and ducks, is magical. Brian is a lovely host, there was no problem using his house for the bathroom and shower, and he enthusiastically shares his "slice of heaven" with good cheer. Lovely little Dobby is sweet and gentle and happy. Try this adventure, you will remember this one for the rest of your life !”
Our place is close to the Columbia Gorge, and it's only 20 minutes to the PDX airport. The cottage is on the Washougal river. You’ll love our place because of the coziness, serenity, and beautiful view of the river. You'll appreciate the cottage's open concept, blue fir vaulted ceiling, figured maple woodwork and hand-crafted furniture. We are inclusive hosts who appreciate the diversity of our guests.
“Tom's place was lovely! When arriving we learned it was closer to the main house than anticipated, but it didn't matter. It was so private and beautiful! The place was clean, lovely, stocked with cooking utensils for any meal (we brought gear to bake with, but were unexpectedly surprised that we wouldn't have needed to!) and so comfortable. The neighborhood was more dense than it seemed when on property. Cute neighborhood. Tom was very communicative when needed, but only when necessary. WOULD STAY AGAIN! Thank you Tom!”

“I stayed there during a FOUR MONTH travel assignment. Mr. Brian always, PROMPTLY attended to any need (nothing major). He also had cleaning supplies, personal washer and dryer with the necessities to actually wash clothes, a vacuum cleaner, full stove and microwave along with a filtered water system and coffee machine... he also supplied oatmeal, coffee and tea. I loved parking under the carport. He even got an extra dresser because of my lengthy stay, which was so thoughtful. The private door keypad also eased my mind. Issues simple as a lightbulb or clogged shower were handled without much delay. Only surprise was a dog... now, the dog couldn’t get me because he was behind a gated/bricked-type wall lol but I was unaware he was there until I heard him barking. My family visited for the holidays and he provided extra bedding. Not to brag, but I broke a couple of dishes and even a small part of the sofa :-( but he reassured me and never made me feel uncomfortable. I know this is a long post, but it was a LONG stay. Although the traffic was horrible, If I had to do this all over again, I’d still choose his place. I’m sure there’s much more I can say, but I just want it to be known that he and his family were simply amazing!”
