Vacation rentals in Waterland

The property is idyllically located, 10 km outside of Amsterdam. Excellent bus connection to the center every 15 minutes. Great place to relax, after an exciting, exciting day in interesting Amsterdam.

Perfect studio for a short trip to Amsterdam. Very beautiful little village and calm. The place was very clean with a magnificent view especially when waking up. It is very convenient to get to the center of Amsterdam (about 15min by bus). I would highly recommend it and would be happy to come back.

We had a lovely stay at Johann's. We would definitly recommand staying there if you want to be near Amsterdam (less than 15 min by bus, around 30 min by bike), but to stay in a beautiful and quiet place in the countryside.

Great host and beautiful home!!

Alice is a top notch host in my opinion. She always responded immediately to our questions and needs. Very friendly, her son Luuk was equally helpful and they had an adorable puppy, Snuf we enjoyed playing with. Alice had many beautiful flowers and foliage to gaze at. The surrounding scenery was beautiful and serene. The neighborhood was very quiet with no hustle and bustle from the city. All in all my daughters and I had a wonderful stay. The only suggestions I have is that she put a privacy screen in front of the bathtub and more access to electrical plugs. Alice and I enjoyed a lovely cup of tea outside on the patio and had a wonderful conversation (in Dutch) about every topic we could think of. I especially like the wildlife that was a constant to enjoy. I think I have found a lifetime friend in Alice and Luuk. We had much in common. Very memorable vacation.

The stay at Sophie and Hanro‘s place was magical. In the morning, you can see ducks swim across your kitchen window. There is also a kanou for free use. Sophie and Hanro were both super nice. Totally to recommend!

Host Paul is such a lively, friendly, entertaining and kind person. He is an 'artist' considering the interesting and eclectic designs he made the place to be! He responds so fast, giving helpful info; which is much appreciated. It is so good to rest in a spacious and serene place after a day's activities, a place surrounded with nature. So lovely.

This is a fantastic houseboat airbnb. It’s a studio adjacent to Adri’s home/boat and is super comfortable, well decorated and fun. The public transportation to Amsterdam is easy - one bus and a metro. It takes about 1/2 hour. You walk from the houseboat to the bus stop - about ten minutes. The little town nearby is charming but we never found any of the few restaurants open. We went to Amsterdam each day we were there, including the crazy King’s Day holiday. Would highly recommend!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights over King's Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a better stay! It was in a perfect location, away from the city's noise but at the same time the city was very accessible by bus. The canoe and bikes were a great addition and we were able to make use of both. Danny was a great host, I'd highly recommend a stay here!
