Vacation rentals with a fireplace in West Dorset District

Lovely place with great amenities. Ideal for family gatherings and our 2 dogs especially were very happy with the outside space. It is easy to drive into Poole which has a good shopping area and lovely quayside. There were lots of good walking areas nearby and a choice of local park runs! There was a good space for the dogs to sleep off the utility room. And a well equipped games room in a former garage though this was rather cold at this time of year. I dare say some form of heating would be provided if requested. But we spent most time outside enjoying the garden space.

I can't thank Carolyn enough, after finding out I was surprising my 12 year old son to a birthday getaway birthdays banners and signs plus sweets etc all put out for when we arrived! above and beyond for us. Carolyn was very responsive, informative and so kind. wonderful localaton, amenities etc. caravan was like home to home, well equipped and very clean. thank you again! highly recommend! 5🌟😁

Bridget’s cottage was absolutely tremendous! It felt homely, warm and welcoming! It was private and out of the way without being miles away from what you needed. We stayed with our 18 month old and dog who had a lovely time too. The stair gate on the bedroom was great as it gave our son freedom to wonder about upstairs whilst we got ready. There was also plenty of room for the travel cot too. Bridget was excellent at giving local recommendations and instructions for the cottage. We tried Rye in Frome which served excellent coffee! So thank you for that too. A perfect Christmassy getaway! Felt like the holiday! Thank you so much xx

We had a lovely stay here. A cosy, clean and comfortable place within walking distance of central Wells. The bungalow is in a really quiet area and Lyn went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. It was wonderful- thank you.

Another great stay here! This time, for a longer period of time, additional cleaning and replenishment was offered throughout. A very proactive and helpful host who obviously takes pride in their property and guests. Would highly recommend to others and consider using again in the future.

We had a great weekend in Bruton at Steve’s place. The location is perfect for wandering into town for coffee and food. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the bath and the fire. Steve was very attentive and made sure that our stay was great.

Really lovely cottage, very spacious, clean, comfy beds, nice garden and kitchen was very well stocked. Corfe Castle is a pretty village with lots of walks and easy access to Corfe Common. We were blessed with super weather, really enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely stay at Andy's place. Comfortable and clean, with everything we could have needed, in a peaceful and pretty neighborhood. Outside area meant we could enjoy the beautiful weather on offer. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone.

Located close to where we have family living which was ideal for us. Lovely and quiet and has a saved parking space for the vehicle Our dog was welcomed to the property. It’s close to shops and takeaway outlets, although the kitchen is perfectly satisfactory for cooking in. Lots of lovely touches in the property such as provision of tea, coffee, milk and sugar as well as shampoo, soap shower gel in the bathroom. Very friendly hosts who were available if required.

Great location, large clean, comfortable apartment with everything you needed for a welcome break

The Bay House apartment was a great place for a short break. The place was clean, bright and airy with amazing views. It was lovely to sit and watch the boats and fishermen in the harbour. The bed was extremely comfortable with pristine linens. The bathroom was stocked with shower gels and shampoos. Westbay itself is a delightful little harbour town with plenty to see and do on a sunny day. Kiosks line the harbour selling ice creams, fish and chips etc. All in all I would recommend the apartment and the location.

This is such a fantastic place to stay. Richard goes above and beyond to ensure his guests feel welcome and are comfortable. The apartment was spotlessly clean and has everything needed for our visit. The location of the accommodation is perfect for access to the beach, local shops and the bus route to the surrounding areas.

Perfect location, central and by the park. On a busy rod but you can’t hear it from inside, it’s a quiet, cosy and calming space. We all had a great sleep, beds very comfortable. Mark was very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

It was our second visit to Bentley Rise and we loved it as much as the first. The apartment is gorgeous and set in the most glorious gardens which are an inspiration. We enjoyed the river walk into town and two happy evenings by the wood burner. We were celebrating our joint birthdays and we felt so welcomed and had the perfect stay. Each summer a U.K. FAMILY holiday is planned for three generations ..ages 5 up to well quite a lot! The choice this year was to go to Simons place.and what a find for everyone. A characterful house. Inside spacious spotless , kitchen brilliant ,, bedrooms roomy , bathroom ( particularly first floor) fabulous, living room so homely with Simons personal collection of books, his piano, homeliness beyond, and with cable Tv Incorporating Sports channels , and Netflix and Prime Video . Outside the decking in the rear garden a wonderful morning sun trap , the front garden full of charm with BBQ facilities and two squirrels nicknamed Bill and Bob..there every morning … The location very peaceful , parking at front and rear of property . Local shops , and the beach within easy 5-10 minutes walk and buses same time away into Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch . A wonderful seven days

I truly believe David’s home “calls you” when your soul needs peace as well as David’s intuitive advice. I have never stayed at a place where the host is nearby (never mind in the same property) and yet, at David’s house I felt extremely comfortable and safe from the start. The house, amazingly located at the feet of Tor’s grounds, is beautiful inside out. It has everything I needed for a pleasant stay, such as, comfortable beds and linen, as well as, a large family kitchen to cook. Yet, its energy, specially in the living room, and garden grounded and soothed my soul. David, the host, gave us the space and privacy needed when one’s on a break. However, he also was a wonderful listening ear and amazing source of advice. Overall, it was a truly amazing stay and I cannot wait to return soon again.

Lovely family home in the heart of the new forest. Was perfect for a pre Christmas getaway with lovely fireplace and warm Arga in the kitchen. Ian and team were very accommodating and it was lovely to have our two cocker spaniels with us to enjoy long daily walks in the forest. Will definitely be back again

An absolutely unique and beautiful house, set amongst lovely grounds. The Christmas tree in the living room was such a nice touch as was the welcome basket full of goodies. We can thoroughly recommend exploring the woods and beach path behind the property. We loved sitting by the fire reading and hanging out in the cinema room in the evening. Thank you for such a quiet and peaceful stay.

James is a lovely person and his home is really magical and he gave us total privacy but was ready to help or advise on anything, it was a lovely experience and definitely going back the house is fantastic really special and huge I have never slept in such a huge house even the bathroom was lovely the house is really authentic and fabulous wild garden I loved the windows beautiful location really quiet

Enjoyed a memorable stay in Goretti’s peaceful and spacious home. The house is fully equipped and was extremely clean. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden and conservatory. Communication was seamless. Would definitely recommend this beautiful home. It was lovely to be greeted by the host with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge.
