Blackbird cabin was the perfect place for our Christmas get together with our dear friends from Ohio. Yes it is small and doesn’t have an oven, but it was cosy, cute and beautifully decorated for Xmas, just what this Australian was looking for. The host Jodee was extremely responsive to any questions we had and was able to offer an alternative to cook our turkey for Xmas Eve dinner. The BBQ grill worked perfectly for this conundrum. We had family visit from out of town and needed a place for them to stay. Mitch and April were gracious hosts, reaching out to make sure all was good, answered questions in a timely manner. We especially appreciate the heads up about a missing knob on a washing machine. The place was just as described, easy to find, very clean and comfortable. the decor was delightful - felt like we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house. Thank you, Mitch and April. Quiet peaceful and simple cabin with all you need. Beautiful clean spacious bathroom. Very nice kitchen and plenty of space for 2 of us. Would highly recommend!

I'm frequently in Urbana for work, and this is my favorite place to stay. It's clean, and in a good neighborhood. It's conveniently located close to the customer I'm in town to support. Within walking distance to several great restaurants and a craft brewery. I'll always be back to Four Gables.
