Nestled in the historic old town of the town of Hachenburg, you will find the ideal environment for day trips to the Westerwald lake district, a few stages on the Westerwaldsteig or a visit to the Marienstatt Monastery with a brewery and great beer garden.

Cottage at the Holzbach Gorge

Our small cozy wooden house is located in a vacation home village right by the Holzbach Gorge on the Westerwaldsteig. Enjoy the tranquility and nature of the beautiful Westerwald. The cottage is an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours and is close to a swimming lake (Secker Weiher). With up to 4 people, you will stay alone in the house. The garden is also intended for your own use. Arrival without a car is not possible. !! No rental to companies!!

Circus wagon on the sheep pasture

Surrounded by trustworthy sheep, our circus wagon stands under a protective roof of maple trees. An exceptional home with panoramic views for 1–2 adults. Sheep cuddles included! If you want to hike, bike or just slow down, you are in the right place in the Windecker Ländchen. The circus wagon is located on a separate property behind our house on our sheep pasture. Private access & private parking available. Every 30 min. S-Bahn connection to Cologne.

Bamenohl Castle - Fireplace room apartment

The over 700 year old castle Haus Bamenohl is hidden behind old trees in the middle of an idyllic park in the heart of the Sauerland hills. As guest of the Vicounts of Plettenberg, who have been living here since 1433, you can relax for some quiet days alone, spend a romantic weekend for two at the fireplace or take a family outing. Whether it's hiking in the wonderful nature, cycling, sailing, golfing, skiing - Bamenohl is worth a visit.

We offer you a nicely furnished apartment for your stay in Montabaur. In the living room you will find not only the cozy couch set but also a very comfortable TV chair, on which you can relax after a hard working day. In the rough Oberwesterwald directly at the wild and romantic Holzbach Gorge, where the Holzbach has dug its bed into the basalt over the millennia, the days are simply different. Longer, more eventful, more relaxing. Feel at home here and experience a special place to recharge your batteries, strength and inspiration. Fire pit and kettle grill are available. Towels and sheets on request.

Westerwald time out

"Time out" is the motto here and stands for a few relaxing days in our cozy wooden hut on the edge of the Holzbach Gorge, in the "Fohlenwiese vacation village." The surroundings offer hiking trails (directly on the Westerwaldsteig) as well as swimming lakes and vast forests that can be explored by bike... For absolute relaxation, we offer an infrared heat cabin for two people.

For a little break

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. In the middle of the Westerwald, the area offers plenty of variety, whether for hiking, cycling or excursions. The property was redesigned in 2023. It can accommodate two adults or the equivalent.
