Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Westmeath

We needed a place to stay that was local to Ballymahon at short notice for a family occasion. Alisha’s home was just the ticket. Very convenient for Ballymahon and for visiting family in Keenagh, the property was absolutely outstanding. The first thing of note was that the photos of the property do not do it justice. The kitchen is open plan and has everything you could possibly need with quality products throughout. The downstairs shower room is beautiful and fantastically appointed. The living room is very cosy with a huge fireplace. There’s also a very interesting history of Barry which is well worth a read. All the bedrooms were very comfortable (beautiful linen) with the ensuite being particularly useful. Plenty of storage too! Finally Alisha’s communication was absolutely first class. From the time that I booked until check out Alisha was always responsive to queries & was proactive about making sure we were ok. All in all I would not hesitate in recommending & would stay again.

What a perfect spot. We're visiting from the US and this was our first stop. I'm not sure the rest of our stays will have such a great setting. We were able to take walks throughout the property. There is a full kitchen but we went with the hosts great recommendations for local restaurants. Sarah was very responsive with questions and George was very friendly and welcoming. What a way to start our month out in Ireland! Comfortable bed, clean, quiet, all the needed amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

All I can say is: if you choose someplace else in this area you’re a fool. I stay at Air BnB places frequently and this has been the very best for the price even if the price were double.

Linda was a wonderful host and her home was perfect for our family of eight. We loved being in the center of the country and taking day trips from there. Clean, spacious, and well-equipped, the house was just wonderful!

Saskia's home is just perfect and they're the perfect host! Saskia communicated frequently, clearly and was so friendly. The house was immaculate, and cozy. We booked it so that we could be in Ireland for Christmas with our family. It was twenty minutes from Mullingar - an easy quick drive. The house was so spacious. At no point did we feel on top of each other - as would have in a hotel room. I thoroughly enjoyed waking up and stepping out the front door every morning with a cup of tea to take in the fields. The area is so tranquil and quintessential Ireland. I would recommend this home to EVERYONE!!! Anytime we go back to Ireland we will be booking Saskia's home!!! WE LOVED IT!

The home is exactly as shown and described. Sissy met us there upon arrival, explained the heating and water heaters to us, there was even milk, coffee and snacks already there. I’ve never stayed at a home so clean! The location is perfect and all of Athlone is walkable from here. I would absolutely stay here on my next visit to Ireland , thank you for everything

We had a fantastic stay at Sheila's apartment. The surroundings and peaceful atmosphere was just what we needed. Sheila was an amazing host checking in on us to ensure we had everything we needed, such a lovely caring lady. To add to that Sheila offered to take us to our friends wedding venue to ensure we where not out the expense of a taxi. She was always on hand when we needed directions or information about the area. We absolutely loved our stay, made that extra bit special by Sheila.

I couldn’t recommend Lorna’s accommodation enough she was a great host very helpful in anything we needed the little gestures that was left around the house was fantastic and so thoughtful. House was spotless and in an amazing location for going to a wedding in Mount Druid.

Peaceful location so very relaxed. Plenty of space for our family (two adults and four children). Good to have a kitchen to use.

Great spot for a family of four. Bigger than we expected and hosts greeted us on arrival with a lovely welcome. Plus, my son was thrilled to see cows the next morning.

A large, clear and pleasant accommodation: space for our son, very comfortable bedding, a very well heated farm stay. Being able to witness the milking of cows and visiting the farm was a plus. Convenient and clean, no frills: a place exactly as we needed, to take a 2-day break in the countryside, during our 2-week Irish road trip.

Norbert greeted us and was very friendly and showed us where everything was and added bonus of ingredients to make a fry up. The place was lovely and clean very comfortable beds fully equipped kitchen and washing machine and tumble dryer. Couple of minutes walk to pub and convinence store and about 10 min drive to town. Highly recommended staying here for peace and quiet.

Another fabulous stay at Blaithin’s flat! I never get tired of that view of the Shannon River. Great bed, nice linens, everything clean, convenient, and relaxing. Thank you!!

Eileen’s place was a perfect home away from home for my family, very comfortable beds. Eileen supplied milk sugar tea/coffee & even some treats in the cupboard which was a lovely touch.

I had a super great time at Niamh's place!! They were super helpful in getting there and back and were very communicative. The place was super cute and clean, and the pets were adorable and very very sweet. I would totally stay here again and can't recommend it enough!!

Declan was very helpful and flexible. He responded in a timely manner and gave us plenty of recommendations on food and things to do outside of the town. He personally met with us upon arriving and gave us a tour of the apartment. It was a nice and quiet place, definitely recommend!

Shelagh made us feel welcome right away and was helpful with anything we needed during our stay! My favorite moments hearing all the bird song when we stepped out in the mornings.

stayed here for a few days while working in the area. highly recommend this apartment, clean and tidy and very modern. comfortable beds, all the amenities and good hot showers with good water pressure.

We drove from the Dublin airport to Mary’s place. It was just what we needed for our first night in Ireland. Peaceful and quiet. We were going to have pizza in town but the restaurant wasn’t opened. So we went into the market in Castletown-Geoghegan and found some frozen pizza and cookies. It hit the spot. Mary and Mic could not have been nicer.
