Our cozy waterfront cottage is spotless and quaint. Enjoy the magnificent view from your cottage or sit on the comfy Adirondack chairs. Watch for the many birds and animals. You can read about ship wrecks or local attractions, play games or star gaze too. Our lovely cottage is 361 square feet. It is a smaller unit, but still has 2 bedrooms! It has a bar-sized fridge and hotplates for cooking (plus bbq and microwave). Each space is very well purposed to its best for your incredible island visit.
“Liz was super helpful and really nice! Went above and beyond what I expected after spending last month traveling hotel to hotel. We didn't get to meet her for check in because she was away, but she had the place all ready with the keys inside. Place was nice and clean. We didn't get back till late and she had cookies tied on to the door for a snack. It was an awesome touch. We got to speak to her in the morning and she is very knowledgeable about the area and super hospitable. I definitely would stay there again! Thank you!”

“5 stars across the board for Claudia’s place. The location gives easy access to locations of interest across the island, but also presents a private, secluded feel. The access to kayaks was much appreciated as it allowed us to spend many hours occupying ourselves without having to leave the airbnb. When we showed up it was sparkling clean, and everything was as advertised or better. 10/10 would consider staying again on our next trip out East. Thanks Claudia!”
It is Very quiet here. There is an organic garden, and a lovely brook to enjoy. Lake Ainslie and the Bras D'Or Lake are just minutes away. Inverness Beach is a half an hour. A wheel chair ramp, 36 inch doors on the back entrance, and the En Suite bathroom has a roll-in shower, though the private entrance has 4 steps. The many large trees invite a walk or just sit and enjoy their beauty. I share the house with a dog and three cats, but like me, they spend much of their time outdoors.
“Sometimes accommodations exceed simply being a place to stay during a trip and become part of the experience itself. My stay with Mary was one of the highlights of my vacation in Nova Scotia. I highly recommend this stay to anybody looking to stay in the region. The house itself is one full of history, and it seemed to me that every feature, every item in the house had its own story. Mary is a charming and engaging host who I loved speaking to and hearing all her stories about such a wide variety of topics. The animals who live with her were also extremely endearing and seemed to reflect the warmth of their owner. The accommodations were great and I didn't find anything lacking. The water at this place came from the mountain and was really delicious. I am really glad I chose to stay at Mary's place and can only say the best things about my experience there.”
