18th Century Cottage in Dorset Countryside

This idyllic country cottage is surrounded by peaceful woodland and fields. Once an 18th-century barn, it has been lovingly restored and what a welcoming place it is. Inside, you'll find a traditional open fireplace, wooden beams and lots of exposed brick. The cosy sitting room is the perfect place to hunker down on cooler evenings, there's ample sofa space for six and a TV to watch films. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and downstairs there is a 3rd bedroom and bathroom.

Only 5 miles from Wimborne, 8 miles from The New Forest and 12 miles from Sandbanks this is an ideal base for exploring Dorset and Hampshire. Perfect for a weekend away or longer stay.

Studio and Shepherds hut in a beautiful garden

A Lovely cedar wood shingle studio and separate shepherds hut with privacy in a beautiful garden full of bird song, and views to Pentridge hill. The studio has a very comfortable double bed, a sofa and wood burning stove for warmth and cosiness. There is an oval table to sit, eat or work at, surrounded by windows letting the sunlight stream in. The kitchen has is a small cooker and fridge and the basics for simple good cooking. The bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water.

Tucked away in a pretty cottage garden, this cosy 4 Star 17th century thatched cottage makes a lovely holiday retreat. A 20 minute walk takes you to the delightful market town of Wimborne Minster. Just a short drive away, is the popular seaside town of Bournemouth with its miles of sandy beaches leading to the Purbecks for stunning coastal walks. We can’t wait to meet you! Merlewood Cottage, quiet Dorset retreat

Merlewood Cottage nestles against a hillside in the Tarrant Valley, in the Cranbourne Chase area of natural beauty. The cottage is situated in a tiny village away from the road with only a handful of houses and a church. You really are away from it all, living in nature here. Buzzards are a frequent sight as are pheasants wandering across the lawn.
