Absolutely stunning location surrounded by bush and birds, very close to the local shops and eateries. Perfect accommodation for the two of us with everything we needed. Mary and Anders are amazing hosts who went out of their way to entertain us. We didn't have a car, so Mary very kindly offered to take us on a tiki tour around the vineyards - heaps of fun! We were also driven to the wedding we attended in Anders epic old car. Definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again some day :)

It was such a treat to spend time at this guesthouse. Beautiful countryside surrounds close to great hikes and outdoor adventures. Cozy stay, rustic charm, delicious food and great sense of company and community.

We have stayed at Diane’s place several times and it is always lovely to arrive at such a relaxing space. The retreat is well equipped, very clean and has lovely views out to the garden. Our two small dogs love to visit too and enjoy playing in the secure backyard. Will definitely be back soon!

Gillian and Bruce have done an amazing job with this property, it was well stocked with more than we could have asked for. They also catered to our dietary requirements and made this place feel like a second home to us. We cannot thank them enough and will definitely be back!

By far the cleanest airbnb we have ever stayed in. Spacious, luxurious ,dog friendly sanctuary. We particularly enjoyed chilling out sitting on the veranda. Can’t recommend this place enough & will return for sure.

was such an amazing night away, clean, tidy and felt at home. partner and I where treated so lovely and even treated to feeding the beautiful goats on the property. i strongly recommend this place if you're looking for a night away in peace and quiet.

Hello Amanda Thank you for creating such place of tranquility and beauty. The room is beautifully presented, I enjoy its old world style and it’s also very clean and comfortable. I love the garden - the Japanese anemones at the front looked spectacular and the view from the room was green, private and relaxing. I feel very safe knowing you are nearby, especially given I am on my own. In fact this would be an ideal place for me to come on a personal retreat to write and meditate; there is even sufficient floor room for me to do yoga! I very much enjoyed my stay and thanks for your advice on local attractions.

Lovely place with a very pretty garden, which was very close to the forest, walks, train, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and the great apple muffins Michaela made for us.

“The Nest” was as per the photos & Mel’s description. However more spacious than it appears in photos. We felt at home & comfortable. The bush outlook & bird life also add to feel of the place. The Local Gin a bonus, thanks Mel. Mel is a great communicator & host. Would stay again.

This sweet little cottage was so special! I’ve already recommended it to friends and family. It has tiny house vibes with a cute outdoor fire pit and marshmallows to go with it (we’ll be using these on our next visit). The perfect place to relax after a wedding in the Dandenong ranges. Sassafras is truly one of my favourite escapes. Perfect location, thoughtful hosts and the cutest place to stay! 10/10

Very cozy and clean home, there is everything you need, great location and easy to find. The furniture is very nice and comfortable!
