“If you are after a place to recharge and rest, Stone Haven is the place to stay! We adored the outdoor spa and being able to toast marshmallows on an outside fire was so lovely. Inside was cosy with the fire that had been thoughtfully set up, ready to light. The views are beautiful... I enjoyed my bath watching a playful little fox who came right up to the window to have a good look at me! We got the stress relief we were desperately in need of and I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday here. We would love to come back and stay again. Many thanks to Belinda and Rod for sharing their delightful cottage with us. Catherine & Brett”
Pretend you are lost in a magical forest as you perch on a log or curl up in the swinging chair. Soak in the tub, then fall asleep in a heavenly bedroom with cloud-painted walls and twinkling lights. And when you wake up, the espresso machine awaits.
“Awesome little gem for 2 to stay over! The place looks exactly like the photos and it’s amazing being there in person. The forest lounge room was so beautiful. The bedroom was so dreamy and the huge king bed was so comfortable, my partner and I could fall asleep within a minute of lying down on it. The kitchen is very modern and has all the basics you need like pots, fry pan, oil, salt and milk there so we cooked breakfast and there’s so many shops right around the corner. They also supply shampoo, soap and toothpaste, and quick wifi there what a bonus :). The family is very lovely and are quick and great with communication. Checkin in is really easy too as they clearly explain how to check in which was so helpful. I would love to come back again :)”
You’ll love our place because of the ambiance and the outdoors space. Set on 18 acres with horses, goats and lots of wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas and often a pair of eagles circling overhead. On the doorstep of the Yarra Valley Wine district and scenic Kinglake Ranges. The views from the home are spectacular. Our place is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). 50 mins from Melbourne Airport.
“On arrival Scott welcomed us to the property, he thoughtfully got his two beautiful dogs to move away from the car to help our anxious staffy. He then showed us the cabin, gave us a run down of the property and showed us the extra nice touches with stacks of amenities. Definitely a cut above the rest from other air bnbs in that respect. The goats, horses and chickens are an added bonus. The fire is perfect for a winters night. Scott generously gives you more firewood the second day so you can keep warm all night. Google maps took us a strange way that wanted us to enter through someone else's property on the other side, but we got there in the end. The large windows allow for you to feel one with nature and the balcony is a perfect place for brunch. We had a rosella on the doorstep at one point. Just a note for those who are bringing their dog: most of the surrounding walks in the area are not dog friendly and you may have kangaroos close to the cabin when you take them out to pee late at night... which may set your dog off like it did with ours. The book with menus of surrounding restaurants and brochures allowed us to see our options in the area and only a short but slightly bumpy ride from everything. The guest book was a lovely touch. Thank you, a lovely way to refresh and celebrate our belated 6 year anniversary/dog's 9th birthday away from the hustle and bustle of the inner suburbs, but only 45 minutes from the inner east. Glad we took advantage of the long weekend!”
