Our guesthouse (2015) is located at a unique spot in "Mooi Drenthe". It sits idyllically among characteristic farms near Peize and Roden. You'll love our place because of the tranquility and the beautiful views over the countryside. This area is known for its many hiking and biking trails and is very close to the city for fascinating excursions in the cultural area. Our place is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, and can also be rented for longer periods of time.

Our B&B offers you a spacious apartment (45m2), lockable, on the 1st floor with private entrance. This makes contactless stays possible. Kitchen with 2-burner stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Through the landing, you enter your own bathroom with sinks, shower and toilet. The private entrance is on the ground floor. If you come with 3 or 4 persons, there is a second living/bedroom in the apartment available (25 m2 extra) Pets are allowed only after consultation.

Guesthouse "De Kraanvogel" The cozy log cabin can be found on the grounds of a farmhouse and has its own driveway. Sheltered under a wooden wall, you can look out towards the Fochtelooërveen and into the beautifully maintained garden. During the summer, the view may be obstructed by the growth of corn or other crops. The log cabin contains a bedroom, bathroom and living room and the whole can be heated with a wood stove. You can make your own cup of coffee or tea in the log cabin.

Welcome to Donderen, a lovely village located in the head of Drenthe. Near the cities of Groningen and Assen (both about 15 to 20 minutes drive), Eelde airport (about 10 minutes drive), the cozy villages of Norg and Zuidlaren, National Park Drentse AA and nature reserve Noordscheveld. Ideal base for cycling and hiking tours. The accommodation is less easily accessible by public transportation.
