Monthly Rentals in Agia Thekli

We had a fantastic 2-week stay at Nikolaos and Mela's home. Set in a peaceful part of the island, it has truly amazing views of the countryside, the gulf of Argostoli and Lixouri. The house is very well equipped, large and comfortable with 3 decent size bedrooms and a large living room. It also has a very big terrace complete with a daybed for afternoon naps, away from the heat. We felt right at home and didn't miss anything. Located in the quiet village of Agia Thekli, with a small village shop for essentials, it’s 15 mins by car from Lixouri, a seaside town with supermarkets, restaurants, shops and regular ferries to the capital Argostoli (20-min boat trip). It's also well placed to visit the eastern part of the island, Petani and Myrtos beaches and Asos and Fiscardo villages. Nikolaos and his family were charming and very welcoming. We were offered home grown tomatoes and peppers and gifted a bottle of local Greek wine. We highly recommend and hope to visit Kefalonia again soon!

Quite simply the best place we have ever stayed in Greece in 25 years. on the outside it is a beautifully restored farmhouse in wonderful garden. inside is super modern and spotlessly clean. The host is wonderful. After the welcome, she left us to ourselves. But always replied immediately when we needed help with local info or ferry times.

Greg’s place is a dream airbnb. Although I have been increasingly disappointed with Airbnb as host become more and more corporate, Greg’s place is a beautiful home built by his great great grandfather (you can see his signature on a stone near the entrance). It has been in the family since. It has functions as a home and a refuge. It is Amazon g to get to participate in the history of such a special place.

Amazing little stone cottage with all the creature comforts you’ll need. A fantastic place to get away from it all and just sit back and soak in the incredible views (second to none) and the quiet ambiance. Nice comfortable bed and a great shower with good pressure and hot water were trumps! It was so nice and relaxing that I ended up extending my stay! Close to some of the nicest beaches in Europe and a 15min journey by car to Lixouri where you can shop, dine or also catch the ferry to Argostoli (20min trip). You couldn’t find a nicer hostess who was always available and spoiled me with some amazing local cuisine. This is now my go-to Utopia and I’m already planning ahead to return for next year! You won’t be disappointed!
