Eric and his place in Palekastro are THE BEST. Eric is a perfect host with great local recommendations and a friendly demeanor. He went out of his way to make sure I was well taken care of, and it’s clear that he really loves his village and sharing it with his guests. 100% recommend!

We loved our couple of nights in this cute stone cottage in an olive grove by the sea. Lovely thoughtful outside seating spots and we really appreciated the fruit for our morning breakfast before walking down the nearby Gorge of the Dead.

A simply perfect place to stay for ferry travel as it is super close to the ferry port. I took a taxi from the ferry port and then realized that I could have easily walked and saved the 20 euros for the taxi ride! In fact, everything is within easy walking distance, and the price is also perfect!

I had the whole apartment to myself, but I imagine it's also absolutely great for families. The apartment is large, spacious and up to date. The kitchen is very large and equipped with everything to cook for larger groups without any problems. Upstairs is a small toilet, downstairs the large bathroom, so you can easily avoid each other here. The balcony, clean and very nice for the morning and daytime sun. Modern and comfortably furnished, I immediately felt at home here. Bed is very comfortable and clean. The internet is fast and stable. Washing machine is great. Communication was through different people in the family but always proactive, friendly and accommodating. The beach is 5 minutes away by car (surfing beach). On foot you can get to the interior of the village, where there are many great restaurants. It is a quiet and tranquil village that is known for its tranquility. Sitia is 20 minutes by car. The place is great. Anytime.
